What political party would you pick if...

Posted

So say you want to vote for the president this year (those who are eligible should if there isn't a religious reason) and you already know who you want to vote for. Suddenly the opposite/different party says they love Kingdom Hearts and can show proof that they have played all the games and are very knowledgeable about them. Ready to geek out with fans at any given time.

Would you change your vote?

SN: Even if you're too young to vote you can still answer.

I'm assuming this is for america's elections (though i'm sure we're having them here as well, personally I wanna boot Cameron in the face) though legally I can vote (in my country, for my countries PM xD)

I would base my decision on their policies. I have "friends" who like Kingdom hearts but it doesn't make them any less of an ahole. Same would go for the president.

Ummm.... no? Because the President should be elected because of his character and his work ethic, not because of his interest.

If that candidate is still going to destroy the economy with their ridiculous policies, I wouldn't really give a firetruck about their interests.

I'm not gonna vote for someone just because they like Kingdom Hearts. They actually need to do good things for our country and be a strong president. If they like Kingdom Hearts that's cool for them but it doesn't change my vote.

Hey stick to the topic. No debates that will get this off track.

I'm not off topic, i'm just saing i would vote for obama, and would NOT change my vote if either of them liked KH.

I would vote for Zubatman....Oh wait!

If you change your vote because of a common interest or because someone is good looking or just nice in general, you should just not vote at all because it's those kinds of votes that can elect a really bad leader and bring down whole countries.

That's an absurd way to decide who is going to be running the country.

>_<

Anybody who says yes shouldn't be allowed to vote :P

Took the words right out of my mouth.

No I'm not voting for someone just because they like kingdom hearts, thats cool and all, but I need to vote for someone based on the policies and interests they would have that benefit me the most, not what video games they like that I just so happen to like too.

If people voted for candidates based on them liking kingdom hearts, they'll be remembered as the people that screwed the country over.

I wouldn't change my vote cause they probably wouldn't be Die hard fans like us

Unless the President agreed to give KH it's own national holiday, and other things that praised the KH series... then maybe yes. Maybe he/she would be inspired to make keyblade weapons.

I don't follow politics, but if I did I wouldn't base my decision off of what video games they liked. I would base it off their ethics and policies.

Eh, sure, why not

Political decisions have been made for far more frivolous reasons

I would wonder where the candidate finds time to play video games.

But if they demonstrate a clear understanding of the storyline, at least we know they cant be too dumb.

I wouldnt change my vote. OBAMAS MY BOY (no homo)

No.

Just because my neighbor likes Pokemon doesn't mean I find him any less annoying xD

My vote's not changing.

why is this a question

Random thought that made me wonder what hardcore fan would think. Pretty interesting so far.

The idea of whether or not you would vote for someone based on a video game is totally absurd.

Not like the far less arbitrary basis of voting like the religious beliefs of the candidate, who kissed the most babies, who stammered the least in a live debate, and who can pander the most to the working class and desperately tries to pretend their one of them.

No.

Just because they play a good game doesn't mean their policies are any less terrible.
