There probably are some who do that, but a good percentage of girls don't date men they think are jerks if there's someone else available or are happy staying single. Often we perceive people as jerks, when they aren't. I think Obama's the biggest jerk I've ever seen, but there are plenty of people who love him. Just because we see someone that way doesn't mean they actually are to someone else. You may think someone is a jerk, when they might be very, very nice to their girlfriend. Most of my friends are dating, and they're all dating pretty nice guys.
