Which video game and scene scared you the most?-General Discussion

Posted

Hey guys...We all know that Halloween is coming, and I have pretty interesting questions for you:

  • Which video game is the scariest to you?
  • Which video moment/scene/part or characther made you shit in your pants?

I remember when I fighted Xion as a boss for the first time and her final form was a suprise for me...So what's your discussion?

I've never played a video game that's scared me.

the dragon chase in Crash Bandicoot: Wrath of Cortex, what, you would be scared if you were in that situation

PS, i dont remember any other moments that scared me

When I was a child (around 6-7) playing Zelda Ocarina of Time on the N64, the part where you're walking/running to the castle and the sky gets dark as it becomes night and skeletons crawl out of the ground and start attacking you. I always walked til it got dark and called my father o.O

Though, at the time I was a kid I had the irrational fear if I die in a video game, I'd die in real life, so any time something difficult came up I'd ask my dad to do it. If I get it for the 3DS or N64 (got one recently) and play it again I wouldn't be that scared xD

Playing Silent hill 1 when I was 6 years old makes me shit in my pants.

But I was able to play it till the end

That Metroid Prime Hunters game on the DS that came out years ago. First time I played it those screen-sucking jellyfish things scared the hell outta me.

Not anymore but still.

Amnesia and Slender are terrifying, though.

You're righ.Pretty much everything in the game is scary.Like that moon

I've yet to play a game that actually scared me, but many of them gave me the creeps all the way through. The games like Doom 3, Amnesia, Slender, are good examples.

Oh wait...That was Majora's mask I mentioned

I'm not a huge fan of ,you know, scary games... So the best I got is Metroid Prime Trilogy. There's also a place that the game has no music than suddenly enemies come out of nowhere and a terrifying music starts... Worst moments I recall: stage running out of energy on the first, walking on the Dark Aether (that place is nasty) and that ship on the third game that is completely wrecked, and you have to go through it with those DAMN pahzon metroids. But the game is awesome anyways...

I'm sorry, but Crash Bandicoot and Zelda? Lol, that made my day!

And slanderman, that's a game i'll never play...

I was very arachnaphobic when I was playing Twilight Princess for the first time, and it took some serious steeling of the nerves to make it through the first temple.

When you're in the cave where you get the Sun's Song in Ocarina of Time, and the Redeads (Zombies) freeze you in place and then hump you.... Yeah I never slept peacefully since.

the dragon chase in Crash Bandicoot: Wrath of Cortex, what, you would be scared if you were in that situation

That's really pathetic...

I'd say any Vault in Fallout 3 or New Vegas besides 101, cause those Vaults are hell to navigate and you never know who or what is already waiting for you down there. Thank god for V.A.T.S though. Otherwise, I'd be dead. A lot.

First time when I tried my cousin's Doom II.. That game is great, but really scary back then.

Well there is games like Amnesia and Penumbra that are scary, not that much, but lot scarier than other games. Penumbra takes cake for me, mainly because character is slower and he can't move objects as smoothly = more dangerous situations

Silent Hill is great serie too, but newer games aren't really that scary. I don't want to mention games like dead space and resident evil as horror.

Also Slendy isn't that scary, just cheap jumpscares all the time and you get used to it pretty quick

That's really pathetic...

im just saying my opinion

Oh God!!The white handed monsters!I remember watching a video about most scary non-horror video game moments and I litteraly shat in my pants when they attacked

This is really very stupid, but since I've not really played any horror games because I'm a loser, so don't judge me.

I was about 7 years old, playing around with my Playstation. I had just gotten that Rugrats game(Which I happen to miss very much, it was a big part of my childhood), and I was playing mini-golf on the Egypt course. There was this huge pyramid off to the side, and I found out that not only could you go in it, it was loaded with special candy bars too. So there I was, picking up every candy bar I could see, when a firetrucking MUMMY jumps out and kills the kid. I was so freaked out, and I still can't go back there.

Who the firetruck puts a super scary mummy in a little children's game?

Wow...

I could say Slender, but there was another game that scared me a lot.

I was 10 years old when I decided to play Maken Shao - Demon Sword.

Just by playing it a little, I sworn that I would never play it again.

Wow...

Amnesia the Dark Decent is the scariest game I've ever played. Nothing comes remotely close, but SCP Containment breach is starting to get really unnerving. With each new update there are less and less jump scares and more moments of actual perpetual fear.

The first game to actually "scare" me was Gex: Enter the Gecko when I was like 7. One of the recurring levels was "horror"-themed, complete with stuff like ghosts popping out of nowhere, faces popping out of the wall, a ghost rolling her head down staircases; crazy shit like that. I literally couldn't play it at night. lol

In terms of scary games in general, probably anything from Fatal Frame. Oh god, Fatal Frame... ;;

I think Mortal Kombat is Scary. However, I do plan on getting Mortal Kombat Armaggedon when I turn 17, after seeing its character creation system on YouTube.com, & I hope you know how much I LOVE character creation/customization in video games. I plan on creating Bruce Lee, Goku, Ryu, Yoshimitsu, Dante, Vergil, Aang, Kazuya, & more.
