Am I the only one who had this problem?

Posted

Ever since I was a young lass, I have been in love with Pokemon. I would talk about it all the time, especially to my parents.

But a huge, huge problem was the title of Pokemon. I know it's actually Pocket Monsters, but I mean just the word Pokemon.

My parents hear me say that very word over 100 times a day. And yet when they talk to me about it, they say the same word every time.

"Pokeman."

I mean, like if I correct you ten times a day, you would think your parents would remember it being Pokemon instead of Pokeman.

Did anyone else had this problem when they were young? xD

I've had the same problem http://kh13.com/forum/public/style_emoticons/default/sleep.png I'm not into Pokemon really anymore but I remember when I was with the trading cards and such. My Grandma since she was always around would go Pokeman and I always went "No, It's Pokemon...got it? Po..Ke...Mon" And she went "I know I know I just like to annoy you". At first she didnt do it intentionally but then after she got it she just kept at it with Pokeman to annoy me xD

Ugh my stepdad did this too hahaha. Except he liked to pick up a game that clearly said "Kirby's Dream Land" and believe it read "Round Pokemans Sleeping in Dream World" O.O

When I used to play pokemon, my mom would say Pokeman's x.x

Yeah my mom always said Pokeman, Digiman xD

Doesn't really matter

Pretty much everybody calls them polkamon anyways

It's Pokaymon :/

LOL not exactly the same problem but when I was younger the only thing I would talk about was kh and my parents and classmates could not STAND me! xD I don't do that anymore, but yeah I had that similar problem lol

Pokemon isn't the same without Brock.

- Sora96 still hanging onto the Sinnoh League before moving onto Black and White.

My parents used to call it Pokémoes -.-

My dad did that all the time. Classic.

My dad did that for the 2 years I knew him >w<

POKEMANS. I've embraced it, really. I hate the Poke EE mon pronunciation though.

My mom does that all the time (not with Pokemon though, I don't know much about it O.o). Instead of Kingdom Hearts, she'll say Kingdom of Hearts (annoys me to no end)....or to be funny....Kingdom of Farts T~T

well my parents have accents so when they talk to me about it they call it poh-ki-mohn. lol

Am I the only one with friends and family who keep insisting I stop playing Pokemon because they think it's only for children?
