My internet friend likes me ;__;

Posted

So, My friend who i met on Ameba Pico lol. Who i've been talking to for a few months now and we have really grown a friendship, is making it painfully obvious that she likes me... So she out of no were deleted me on FB, then when i add her back, she started to spam my wall with likes, the sent me this message "That moment when you catch yourself stalking your crush's wall." I didn't respond because i was nervous. Then today, she sent me this >.> " https://encrypted-tbn0.gstatic.com/images?q=tbn:ANd9GcRxKWa-fcFQXPYoZkSRtdPwiPsky_wprqps7QgFMO_nLjW6shaC that would be the best "would you go out with me" invitation ever " And I don't what to do, i don't like her that way, and i don't see how me and her can date seeing how she lives in canada, and we have no other way of communication except for facebook. Meh. I'm afriad

well, this is a bit akward but anyway just tell her that u just want to stay friends and not take it any further then that

Creepy. Block her and increase your privacy settings is what I think. If you have to change your email if she starts spamming you there. If she scares you then there is no reason to leave her in your internet life.

Just tell her that you want to stay friends. Being honest is usually helpful.

That's.... not healthy. No offense intended, but that seems to be one of the most immature ways to confess to your internet crush.

It's up to you.

and there's always the chance that she's just trolling you

Tell her that you just want to be friends and that you don't feel comfortable getting into a relationship that was formed entirely online. Let her off easy and tell her that her affection and time would be better spent on someone she can actually see and be with in person. Don't be harsh even if she freaks out and says some nasty things. Getting rejected by someone you truly care about is the worst feeling in the world and can leave you 100% devastated for a few days, with periodic relapses of many negative emotions (mostly sadness and anger) over the course of a few weeks or months. Just tell the truth and be nice about it.

Don't get worried about it though even if she does react poorly. She seems rather immature and probably not truly ready for this sort of thing. She will be upset but not really heartbroken from the way things look. Just remember that at the end of the day, all that you were talking to were pixels on a screen. There may have been a person behind it, but without that real world and physical connection they are just words on a screen. This is why I'm not a fan of online dating. You can be perfect for each other but without that real world connection, the "relationship" will fail.

Being nice and giving advice is good and all, but this person is rather "Loco in the Coco". The wonderful thing about the internet is that you can delete and block her off from everything and never speak to her again. If you want to preserve your friendship this isn't the best choice, but from the looks of things it's best if you GTFO and pretend she never existed.

That sounds creepy. O.O

If I were you, I'd increase my privacy. Tell her that you don't see her that way. Then, break off contact.

Just tell her that you want to remain friends, and break off the contact so that you won't have to worry much.

I can't offer much advice, I haven't been in a situation like this. :/

If you feel that way, then break it to her slowly. If she starts being bitchy to you after that, then you can totally break contact with her.

Tell her you're not interested and if she keeps harassing you, break off contact.
