What's the longest you've ever owned a game without actually playing it?

Why would I buy a game and not play it?

If we're counting Christmas gifts, then about a few weeks.

Well I've got a game sitting on my shelf that I've never played and I've had it for two years now... It doesn't even look like a bad game, but why should I end such an long streak?

I ALWAYS play the games I buy.

It's impossible for me to resist. @.@

Like 5 months. Cause my mom grounded me, and I bought 3 games in the middle of it. Honestly, I did nothing to be grounded either.

There are a couple that I've never played. I didn't buy them myself, but eh. 

About 2 years, but it's moreso the fact that my PS2 refuses to read blue-disc games, so I can't Ico. #scumbagps2

I can't even tell you.  I know I had Pokemon Gale of Darkness for a long time before playing it.  I had no interest in playing it when I got it, but one day I was bored and pulled it out.

I once bought a $20 Wii game with my dividend and I haven't gotten to it yet, but I plan on it soon.

I bought FF XIII-2 on it's release day and still haven't played it. I haven't been bothered to finish playing FF XIII so XIII-2 just sits in it's box all day, every day.

Only the time to get home from wallmart or gamestop.

I had this game on psp that i forgot what it was called, but it was gift and i didn't even have a psp. I didn't get one for another 2 or 3 years.

Asa I download them

Over two years. Got FF XII for my birthday on August 21, 2010 still haven't played it. Lol. In fairness I've completed FFX and FF X-2 since then.

AS of right now, I haven't played Animal Crossings Wild World for 4 years and around 142 Days. So yea that's pretty outrageous. And I have a whole case of games that've been closed longer than AC, but their mostly cheap little ones I got on sale for like $10 for 4 games or something

I think I've owned Ico for 10 years and I've never played it. I heard it's a great game, but every time I would decide it was time to play it, something else would take it's place. As the years go by I think the likelyhood of me ever playing that game is fleeting. 

Since video games are quite expensive where I live, my parents brough me Dream Drop Distance from a trip but I had to wait about a week until my college classes ended so I could finally go home and play it. It was definetely worth the wait!

Actually, when I got Kh Days I didn't get a chance to play it for about 2 weeks.

Well I think I got Skyrim about 5 days before I got a Play Station 3... But otherwise it's pretty much straight away. (First post in ages, I feel complete again).

Mass effect 1 and 2.actually waited 4 months b4 playin them.then I played them, bought all dlc for them,and got ME3!

I have 2 Old gamecube games that I never touched. i opened them and never tried them. So probably 8 years they have been sitting on my game shelf

Why would I buy a game and not play it?

This has only happened once, and that was because i got GTA4 and i let my cousin play it before i did for about 2 months other than that, i ussualy start playing them when i get home.

If i spend my good time and money to go get a game, i play it like instantly when i get home. Now if i recieve a game as a gift, well that's a little diffrent........
