Something I noticed about Kairi and the Keyblade

Posted

In the cutscene in The World That Never Was, when Riku gave Kairi the Destiny's Embrace, Kairi held the keyblade in the same stance as Aqua for a second. I never noticed that before.

Really, she did? can you post a video about it? cus i've never notice it before.

i think it is because she is using her power. she short of fights like aqua a bit.

it's a girl thing?

xD

It IS a girl thing then xD

Edit:

Well actually,

Aqua's relationship with Kairi in BBS had to do with something I guess.

O.O

I didn't even notice! Thanks for pointing it out. xD

anyone notice how when sora hugs kairi, his hands are so big that they cover her ENTIRE back?? 6:10 in the video

I think its because Aqua in BBS she touched Kairis necklace and blinked which means that Aqua gave power to Kairi to wield the keyblade. So its normal for Kairi to use the same style as Aqua's.

At first I was going to say that must have just been a coincidence, but Aqua did give her the power to wield even if by accident so there has to be a connection. But I think in KH3D, in that scene when a whole bunch of people connected to Sora appear behind him, Kairi holds her keyblade with both hands instead of one like in Aqua's stance. Weird :P

Welp maybe since Aqua is how she is able to wield a keyblade that's why she holds it the same way.

KH2 is like, seven years old, that's not exactly a spoiler.

I've seen this pointed out a long time ago and I don't think it means much. At one point Kairi also holds DE the same way Sora does and 3D shows Kairi holding it in a similar position to Aqua's but more up front and with both hands like Sora's. Rather clumsily I might add. I chalk it up to her simply being inexperienced with holding a Keyblade and is trying a variety of ways to see what feels right.

Also, the idea that Kairi holds the Keyblade similar to Aqua because she passed the ability down to her doesn't sit right with me. The inheritance ceremony only passes down the ability and should only pass down the ability, what Keyblade the bequeathed gets or what style they use is a different matter.

I respect your opinion on this, just remember that not everyone has played KH2.

Granted, but I think there's a point where concern for such things should be lax, especially on a KH fansite with a game nearly a decade old. While I feel for the people who are getting into KH now who don't want to be spoiled but are anyway because of free conversation; at the same time everyone else can't be held responsible either. It sounds cold, maybe, but if someone doesn't want to be spoiled they shouldn't join or read through a fansite until they know the material.

*Mindblown

That's some discovery xD

Great job :)

I heard from somewhere that the whole reason Kairi can even hold wield a keyblade is because in BBS when

Aqua saved Kairi from the unversed I heard that Kairi touched her keyblade and that gave her that ability

Yes, this is true. Aqua accidentally passed the ability down to her when Kairi touched her Keyblade while running away from Unversed. btw you don't have to worry about spoiler tags for BbS anymore, the spoiler ban has been lifted for a while.

Thats why Kairi can wield a keyblade! ^_^

....

I still just believe it's coincidence.

Well since BBS wasn't out yet it was most likely an accident, and the fighting style is similar, but I wouldn't say the same, it looks a bit clumsy actually. If it was true about the ceremony thing shouldn't Riku fight like Terra(which he doesnt) and Sora fight like Ven? However its a good point to make. Good eye Prowerpower.
