YEAAAHH!! FINALLY!!!!

I saw the first movie about a year ago and i fell in love with it!

I can't wait for the second one! ;D

spread the word and make sure it does well so u can c more of these movies being made

Man of Steel is a reboot, not a sequel. The best course to take in my opinion, would be reboot the series.

true, but u get my point right? just give this one a chance, you never know unless u try right? "don't knock it till you try it"

I already see some major differences.

Dammit, where the hell is Clarisse's bloody Civil War warship?!?!?!

Yes Yes Yes finaly i have ben waiting forever for this trailer to come out fan of the books hope this is as good as the trailer

I didn't even finish the first book, (lost it.) and the first movie was NOTHING LIKE THE GOD DAMN BOOK ANYWAYS!

So, yeah. Most likely will not see it.

You annoy me.

You said that in the last thread you made about the Host.

Just cause somebody listens to the reviews doesn't make them a 'mindless idiot who can't think for themselves'.

I don't know if it will be loyal to the book cause I never read the second book, and the movie looks shitty anyways.

So yeah, And before you call somebody a 'mindless idiot.' You might want to check your grammar and spelling.

Thank you for your advice on my grammar. Now please, do not ruin it for us who do wanna see it. Do you like being negative or something? I spread the word because reviews are evil and deserve to be destroyed. What is the point of them? Why let someone ruin your fun and control your mind? The best things in life are often experienced first hand. So what if the movie is shitty to your Patricier? At least you live. Why do you wanna know so much information about things you do not need? As my Dad always says, the less information the better.  Be positive, not negative. Light, not dark. Why be an Unversed and ruin it for us, got it memorized? :)

correction: I admit I am a mindless idiot for overlooking this. Reviews need not be destroyed but resurrected in a way that the people involved with the reviewed subject will get their feedback without hurting the Patriciers of the general public.

An ideal way to submit reviews, so that thosewho need the feedback get it without harming the opinions of others would be toset up a social network for people to submit private reviews to the people whomake plays, movies, etcetera, where then upon reading reviews, it will be up tothe creators to make decisions based on the feedback and their own judgment;basically its more or less the exact same as reviews are presented today, onlywithout other persons knowing such influenced thoughts. Meanwhile, the generalpublic will decide for themselves whether or not to involve themselves in thesubject, based on their values, their interests, and just common knowledge, while also showing respect to others and their opinions. Of course, the makerswill have to take care in what content to include/not include in their works,as well as always keeping a sense of audience in mind. With the growing trendof social networks, this should hardly come as a problem; sites like RottenTomatoes and IMDB already have public review areas that people can log into thenetwork and present their personal reviews

HOW DO WE KNOW THIS ONE ISN'T THE FAKE ONE????????? ;)

Because as you can c even though it is video recorded it is from a theatre and looks very authentic

I'd like to thank the trailer makers for showing me the whole movie. lol

Yes its true trailers do show a lot but just don't think about it. block it out of your memory, don't let it bother you, don't review it! I only post it to get people who DON'T know about the movie known about it

Yeah.

I am sorry for annoying you but I have issues with people being so darn negative and closed minded. I mean, you'd think we as KH fans would know this most of all. Darkness only brings about more darkness, and the littlest things you say or do can effect all. But why so negative when its better to be positive

ogan Lerman returns as a demigod, saying, "It's always fun to have sword in your hand."

STORY HIGHLIGHTS

  • Logan Lerman returns as Jackson in 'Sea of Monsters'
  • Lerman was 17 when he made the first 'Percy Jackson' film, and now he's 21
  • Nathan Fillion appears as the messenger god Hermes, Stanley Tucci as the god of wine Dionysus

Logan Lerman showed he could play the quiet, sensitive high school student in 2012's The Perks of Being a Wallflower. But he's back to being a high school demigod in Percy Jackson: Sea of Monsters.

Due out Aug. 16, this sequel to 2010's Percy Jackson & The Olympians: The Lightning Thief has Lerman reprising his title role as the half-human, half-god son of the sea god Poseidon.

"It's fun to go back to your old shoes once again and play around,'' says Lerman of his part in the converted 3-D film. "And it's always fun to have a sword in your hand, especially when you're doing scenes which involve fighting monsters. I'm still a kid. I love doing that stuff."

GALLERY: Logan Lerman and company in action in 'Jackson'

Lerman is actually not that much of a kid. Now 21, he has changed noticeably since making the original Percy Jackson at 17.

"He's lost a little bit of the baby face," says director Thor Freudenthal. "He's gotten more angular."

Jackson sports a more adult hairstyle and wardrobe in the new film. And Lerman admits it helps to be more experienced to take on the challenges presented in the second book from Rick Riordan's best-selling adventure series.

"I'm a little more comfortable with the sword," says Lerman. "We need it since there are bigger monsters. If you're going to make a sequel you gotta scale it up a little bit."

The story takes Jackson to the mythical land known as Sea of Monsters to retrieve a golden fleece that is essential to saving an ailing magical tree that protects his home, Camp Half-Blood. He departs with his Olympian sidekicks Annabeth Chase (daughter of the goddess Athena, played by Alexandra Daddario) and Jackson's protective goat-like satyr Grover (Brandon T. Jackson).

New characters come along on the adventure, including Clarisse La Rue (daughter of war god Ares, played by Leven Rambin), and Tyson the Cyclops (Douglas Smith), who, to Jackson's dismay, is revealed to be his half-brother. Turns out Tyson was also fathered by Poseidon, this time with a sea nymph mother.

"Those Greek gods really got around," says Freudenthal. "They were kind of dysfunctional partying drunkards: living first, thinking later."

Two of those gods make their series debut in Sea of Monsters: the messenger god Hermes (Nathan Fillion) and Dionysus, the god of wine (Stanley Tucci).

The daunting foes include a myriad of monsters, from the football-field-sized sea creature Charybdis to the Manticore, which Freudenthal describes as a half-lion, half-scorpion that wreaks "considerable harm." Jackson's final battle takes place with Kronos, the overlord of the gods and the central villain in the book series.

There are further foes and adventures in Riordan's five-book series. While there is no official talk of a third Percy Jackson movie installment, should it come, Lerman and trusty sword Riptide are ready.

"It's a nice change of pace from doing some drama," says Lerman. "If called again, I would grab my sword and run right into battle."

I can't tell if you're high all the time or?

No, I'm not even bring negative, I'm saying what I think of the movie will suck. And that darkness shit is well.. shit.

How am I effecting anything??? I just said the movie is gonna suck.

That's it.

I hope its be better than the first moovie. :3

It looks like this movie will be closer to the books then the first one was.

I loved the first movie so this might turn out good!~

Crossing my fingers on this one.  I really hope they are more loyal to the book like they say they will be.

Logan LErman on PErcy Jackson

“It takes place shortly after the end of the first one, and someone has come and poisoned the tree that protects our camp,” Logan shared. “All of the half-bloods are in danger of monsters coming and killing them, so they have to go on this huge quest in the Sea of Monsters to find the Golden Fleece to revive the tree and save the camp. It’s a huge adventure.”

He added, “There are a good number of monsters. It won’t disappoint. We did see them on set. It was cool. A lot of them were actually in person, things that would be actually on camera that they’ll redo with visual effects. It was great. We had actors instead of a ball or a mark on a green screen.”

Yeah, many of the things that were omitted from the Lightning Thief can easily brought back, and the reason it's not hard is because all those things are still very much tied to the premise of the series, in both book and movie. I mean, Kronos, the Oracle of Delphi, The prophecy, all these things are rooted in greek myth, and the premise of the movies/books is mythology meeting contemporary society. Not a stretch. The one thing I AM concerned for his that in the first movie, Luke says he's never met his father. That's an issue that's gonna crop up again, particularly in Last Olympian. But yeah, the other stuff isn't a biggie in my opinion.

Official movie site

I posted this earlier, but i think you all should see:

Hey everyone,

I know I rave about Percy a lot, but the truth is, this new movie is AMAZING (sorry i had to post the rest from what I posted on IMDB, because i wanted to prove to the naysayers of negativity there and since well it relates more to them as this site is for KH, despite all the openness, but fyi i do often recopy and repaste things all the time).

I watched it this afternoon, and FREAKING LOVED it!

Seriosuly, i'm not kidding you. My uncle works at Fox, and he gets access to see some of the rough cut/test screening of some films, and since I was a fan of PErcy, he gave me a DVD rough copy of the unfinnished film. I've probably said too much about that already, but anyways:

This movie DOES fix the first one. It feels like the book (despite the age difference), while still maintining continutity with the first film. I'm not supposed to say much, but if you are a fan of the book, you WILL NOT be disappointed. The action is better, the special effects, the PLOT -

The plot feels grounded and more akin to the books with its subplots. there is a whole world presented here. This one definatly has more of a Harry Potter feel to it

Even though the special effects were incomplete, (some of them were, some not), I could really see what they were going for. Kronosis well featured, and well, LUKE! OMG, Jake Abel gives Tom Felton a run for his money

Guys, if you liked the Aprodite Girls in the first movie, whoooo! Let's just say tehres a lot more where that came from.

Tyson is really funny and he still retains a bit of his "little kidness" in the movie. It's actually kinda cute.

I can't tell you about Grover, but well, you will be satisfied. Its kinda interesting that the trailer makes you think of the opposite...

This is how you adapate a book. You maintain continutiy from the first films, while "fixing" them up. You can see this movie and pretend that the first one did not exist.

I LOVED the film, it actually may be my new favourite movie of all time, and cannot wait to see it again! I will definatly be seeing this at least twice in theatres! Trust me, you are all going to love it!  :)

When Lady Gaga came on the first movie, I stood up and walked out of the theater... No joke, what they had done to the book's movie was far too cruel and no book should ever have to suffer the same fate.

Oh, and if Percy was already like, 16 in the first movie, how is he going to be 16 for the last book? The whole plot revolved around him turning that age.

I'm kind of hoping they're going to change the age to 18 or 21 or something. The story would still have some sense in it even if the age was modified.

See folks, just use ur common sense, you may not be that far off from what the film makers were thinking... that's all i'm gonna say [:)] remember, great minds think alike, and pan twilight/host all u will BUT at least tHEY, unlike POTTER, actually listen to the fans and know how to maintain the book justice and continutity. And Percy is thankfully better than Harry in that regard....

Crossing my fingers on this one. I really hope they are more loyal to the book like they say they will be.

Trust me, it is.....

First poster though it ain't much

I loved the first movie so this might turn out good!~

It's WAAAAY better, trust me, even if you didn't love the first one, ur gonna LOVE this one either way [:)]

Hey all

As You may know i have seen the movie in its rough formed and LOVED it! I REALLY want the movie to do well so that the other movies can be made! I msyelf am spreading the word by telling you guys and setting up ads on Kijiji and Used PEI where I am from. I also am spreading the word on other sites like KH 13 (alas i no longer use Facebook for personal reasons). But, you guys that do can! Like Sea of Monsters while ur on there!

I also set up Google Alerts to keep tab on whats going on like posters, articles etc, You guys can too!

I am setting up posters to spread around university campus. I am telling people about it and telling them to spread the word to.

So to rephrase, you can:

- Google Alert to keep tabs on the movie to help spread the word (but NO Reviews, do NOT let them ruin ur fun)
- Post Ads on other board sites (but b careful to not be a troll)
- tell EVERYONE you know and tell em to spread the word too
- Make posters
- Spread the word online
- Like it on Facebook, etc.
- Think of your own unique way to help advertise the movie

With luck we may have a full movie series on our hands if all goes well!

I wouldn't worry about it not getting enough attention. ;)

I'm more on the "I prefer the books" side of Percy Jackson, but I will probably go see this one, despite the questionable choices they made in the first film. It seems like they fixed a lot of things.
