So I Was In A Waiting Room...

Posted

And I came across one of these.

It was fully functional and meant to keep visitors in waiting rooms occupied of course. But the thing is, that was the first time I've seen a standard TV in a long time. Everywhere I go I see HDTVs. Seeing a TV like this made me remember the days when we all had TVs like this. I know not everyone has an HDTV, but it's still a surprise to me seeing these. It also makes me wonder when the TVs we have now will go away over time and replaced by UHDTVs. My question to all of you is, do you still have a standard TV like this?

Yeah I do, man does this question bring back memories.

We don't have ours anymore. Thank goodness, I couldn't stand the weird high pitched ringing noise those things always emitted.

Though I do miss the static channels. Watching the microwave background from the universe was actually kind of inspiring. :3

I use to, they are great for playing a lot of retro games and stuff. But I eventually ditched it for HD lol

Yup. Probably always will lol

yup, still using for playing playstation 2 games! :D

Still do. I play my Nes, Snes and N64 on that awesome old T.V. of mine! xD

Still use mine. My HDTV is at my mom's without internet so all PSN and XBL stuff I do is on my standard TV.

It's a pain. Realliy it is. Tomb Raider and Halo is just more epic on a 32' HDTV man...

EDIT:

That's why my next purchase with my next paycheck or two will be me saving up for a new 32' TV...that is, after I get ahold of the statue of Cagalli Yula Athha I reaally really want...

I still use one

I wish I still had mine, it died a year ago and as everyone knows ps2 looks better on an analog t.v

i don't even have an HDTV...

All our TVs are standard.

Mine is still sitting on top of my closet with a (gasp!) VCR connected to it.  I used to have my PS2 connected to it but I figured out how to hook it up to my computer monitor.  I'll probably be getting rid of the PS2 soon anyway now that I won't need it to play KH...

I have an old TV in my bedroom (From 1992 I think xD9

The rest of the house has HDTVs

Got rid of the last one a few years ago.

God, that thing was heavy like hell.

PS2 games look horrible on my "new" one, but I can live with that.
