I loved it.

Get it. I've only seen bits of it from a stream (don't actually have it) but it definitely looks fantastic.

It's really good, I have Advent Children Complete and it's fantastic. But the way the story is told is weird, it's kinda all over the place for the first half of the movie.

I didn't really care for it. I felt it didn't do much for Cloud's character, and while it was cool to see how Midgar is doing after the events of VII, I felt that a lot of the movie was spent focusing on action scenes rather than character moments.

I have the movie but I want to get the Blu-Ray as well!~

It was average at best....Other than the Battle with Sephiroth....there is nothing spectacular......The movie got a lot of praise just because it's FFVII,and the FF fanbase see anything FFVII as something from the heaven.

It's not good, and it's irrelevant.  You can take it out of the equation and you won't miss anything.  The only thing it adds onto the FFVII mythology is cementing Cloud as a loner who does nothing but angst and fight.

Actually now that I think of it.I can take out Advent Children from the FFVII mythology and it won't affect ANYTHING....some might argue that with Dirge of Cerberus but at least that game showed us Vincent's past and we've seen Genesis flying with Weiss's body in the secret ending of the game.

The only fun I got from Advent Children is the Battle with Sephiroth....even the fight with Kadag and his goons wasn't that entertaining.

But of course because it has FFVII in the title and we have our Cloud who went from Hero to Emo(a.k.a the Squall syndrome) in the movie and thus FFVII fanboys would consider it a Godsend movie....Hell I had fun with even Pokemon The first movie more than Advent Children

The other FF needs love too... T-T (Cough FF6,9,8 and V, Cough)

Actually, Advent Children isn't a blu-ray exclusive.  My copy is just the regular Advent Children DVD, though the Advent Children Complete--the version with all of the additional scenes and exclusive content--is indeed a blu-ray exclusive.  As for the movie itself, my feelings are rather mixed on it.

For it being a Final Fantasy movie, being one of the only video game-based films with CGI graphics and a sequel to one of my favorite Final Fantasies, it was pretty good.  It could've ended up much worse than it did, let me put it that way.  I was, however, sort of disappointed after it was over, as the movie revolved around entirely different plot points than the games, and really didn't live up to being a worthy sequel of the game.  The antagonists' roles are muffled and confusing, not to mention Sephiroth merely appears for the desire to show his face; he really isn't necessary to the story at all.  The movie revolves around more action than story, it seems, and overall it just looks like one big cutscene.

If you're a big FF VII fan, then I'd say it's worth the watch.  But if you aren't familiar with VII, or just didn't enjoy it, this movie is probably not the best.  I remember watching it once about a year before I'd played the game, and I was utterly baffled at what was going on.  The movie is certainly eye candy--the visuals are stunning and beautiful--but I really thought it could've been much better, especially in terms of the meaningless plot.

All right, ive made my decision. Im going to get Advent Children as soon as possible. Just have to find it at a Target near me. I can't wait to see all the action scenes.

It's available on Crackle, a free app for ps3. It's also on Netfix, I've heard.

Well maybe its on the Netflix website to order, but its not online on the PS3 though.

It was pretty good in my opinion, animation quality is really good, story is quite meh, Cloud gets all development during last 5 minutes of movie, badass action scenarios, good soundtrack.

It is movie that is fun to watch few times because it has lot of action and you don't really need to focus too much on the story or something which makes it easy to watch with friends, but movie really doesn't satisfy anyone who wanted to see awesome continuation for VII's story and shitload of explanation

Y'know,of all games that needs sequel in the FF series,FFVII and it's movies prequels sequels....etc,and XIII and it's sequels have been milked enough

Final Fantasy 9 really and I mean REALLY deserves a sequel, whether it's a video game,an anime,a movie....etc I just LOVE Zidane and his adventure and I want to see more of the world of FF9....no wonder Sakaguchi said FF9 is his favorite it's so awesome.

Eh. I thought the ending to Final Fantasy VII was a perfect open-interpretation ending, and I thought it should have ended there, so you can guess my reaction to Dirge of Cerberus and Advent Children.

In other words, Advent Children was alright, and Dirge of Cerberus was more towards the 'bad' side.

The point? I don't care whether Cloud being a loner was realistic or not, it regressed his character when they took SO MUCH TIME to make him a good character. Come on. I don't want to watch two hours of him getting to the same point of where he was at the end of FFVII. What makes it worse is he doesn't make it to that point. He's still basically the same. Come ON. His character development in VII was great.

tl;dr-I think it made Cloud's character worse and most of it was flashy fight sequences.

The only thing I can't stand of the movie is the super fast velocity of the fights, you just can't see a darn thing

The story was meh but the cgi was outstanding.

It is an enjoyable film because of the animation and music for me personally.

It was a brilliant movie, and anyone who said its only a good movie to the FFVII fans are completely and utterly wrong. Alot of my friends have seen the movie and absolutely love it, and they have never played a FF game let alone FFVII.

I'm an FFVII fan and I didn't see the movie that fantastic, but everyone is entitled to his opinion

Exactly my point, it isnt just a fanbase favourite.

The fact someone who hasn't even played FFVII can still love AC without being totally confused about what's going on shows how significant it stands in FFVII's mythology.  You'd think a movie that's a direct sequel to a game would require knowledge of its predecessor to understand, but nope.  AC can stand on its own.  Makes you wonder what the point of it was.  Or the point of FFVII if that's where everything leads, aside from how AC wouldn't exist without it.

it was a great movie to watch but I was hoping to see more like stuff from the past where Cloud and Tifa made a promise but I enjoyed the movie.

and I loved the soundtrack and the fighting as well in the movie.

If you are a fan of FF7 you will probably love this movie,my favorite moment was when one winged angel started playing and Sephiroth showed up

Watching Cloud fighting his Nemesis in CGI with their amazing sword attacks was epic ,i never get tired of watching this scene
