KH Zack Should've Been Stronger

Posted

To be honest I think they should have made Zack a lot more stronger than they made him in BBS. I mean, in the game he was practically weak and they kinda made him look like he can't even take on anything no matter how hard he tried. I mean come on, he dodged bullets with ease and heck, wasn't even phased by them when he was on the phone at the beginning of CC, single-handedly defeated Genesis and Angeal, and took down 1000 Shinra soldiers by himself. He was pretty much a badass in CC. But in BBS... he was a pansy. I mean in terms of plot I think they should've made Zack more than a match for Aqua as far as techniques goes. Kinda felt slightly dissapointed how he lost so easily in the tournaments (though I guess it made more sense in Terra's scenario since he was possessed). And then there's the ending credits where he "dies". You know I really hope that isn't the last time we see Zack. I want to see him as his older, CC self in a future KH game.

Yeah, it was a bit of a weird thing.  Though I suppose you could also take into account that he was also younger; therefore a bit less experienced?  I dunno.

Well yeah that is true. He was younger so he didn't necessarily have the same experience as his Crises Core self had. But still, he shouldn't have been THAT weak. At least make him strong enough to stand his own ground.

All Disney and Final Fantasy appearances in KH are technically AU versions of their canon selves.  I'd have liked them to make Cloud non-emo, for example, but we can't always get what we want.  If it helps, if Zack was really that weak, he wouldn't have made it to the top of the games alongside Terra and Aqua, and he wouldn't have put Hercules's apprenticeship with Phil (to Hercules's knowledge) in jeopardy.  KH is ultimately about the original characters, with Final Fantasy and Disney along for the ride.  By the storyline focusing on the original characters, it automatically favors them.

And if you're that mad about Zack being weak in comparison, you'll always have the original Crisis Core, just how I'll always have the original FFVII when faced with Cloud's emo appearances in spin-offs.

Zack in KH is not the Zack from FF so him being weaker could make sense.

I got my ass kicked to next wednesday by Zack. Before he even got posesses by Hades. He wasn't the hardest boss in the game, but by no means was he weak.

Yeah he kicked my ass when he was possessed by Hades... Multiple times.

He's just a boy! Leave him alone. lol.

he looked like a young kid in training so it's no wonder to me why he lost

i'd love to see him as a boss in an arena in KH3 all grown up and as much as a bad ass he was in CC

He was just a kid here... No wonder he lost. But he still showed SOME skills with his sword, which means that he already received some training before this.

Zack was still pretty badass!!! >:D

Well the KH series isn't canon to the FF series... And it's not like that Zack was trained in BBS.

I figured he was still young and just went with that. But it would've been a lot cooler if he was difficult to defeat.
