The bosses will probably be SO MUCH MORE DIFFICULT than in previous games.

Posted

With the technology of the PS4, the development teams can take the difficulty of bosses and battles to a whole new level, and make it alot harder, which im sure they will do for Critical and to a lesser extent, Proud. Im looking forward to the challenge, since its makes the game more fun in my opinion. Are you guys looking forward to that?

YEAH!

Besides you get to use the PS4's touchscreen!!

That's something new/shot...

And there's the Kinect for Xbox jfxixbdzjhzuc..,

You are making a lot of threads, my friends.

It will make Sephiroth in past games a walk in the park if they do it right with the PS4.

Yes, but with KH3 being announced, there is alot of things to speculate on now.

Exactly.

I doubt they'll use the touch screen.

I hope so !! I also hope for better boss design and that's not something the Osaka team is known for.

Technology doesn't necessarily impose limits on game/boss difficulty; Mike Tyson of Punch Out is considered by some to by the toughest video game boss of all time. The bosses will likely be similar in difficulty levels, but enhanced in other ways, such as more animations and detail.

That said, I think they'll also be able to have more intelligent AI and more varied strategies which could make them more difficult, or at the very least more dynamic. Either way I can't wait for a next gen KH game...and like most I've been waiting throughout this entire current gen for one.

It's also gonna be much easier to take game footage thanks to the PS4's controller.

well, they WERE on the right track with the no heart fight in BBS. Lets up they can follow up with that and make a boss even more challenging then no heart AS LONG as they don't fake the difficulty.

I feel like since KH1 proud mode is about as difficult as normal mode was, and critical isn't as hard as it should be. My opinion is that critical should be next to impossible, just so that people can't say anything about it was too easy and there are always the lower difficulties to rate if you can't do it.

It's not the capabilities of the systems that make games difficult, it's the creativity of the developers. The complexity of the system has actually nothing to do with it. The skill of the player and how well the fight was designed does. Sephiroth is a prime example that they could have done it if they wanted to. It's not like the PS2 could only handle one crazy difficult fight per game, what kind of system would be like that? They keep the battles at a basically standard difficulty because they're always weary of new players. and I know what you're thinking, "Who starts a game at the third major installment?" I started with KH2, anything is possible. We'll see the same difficulty as with the other games and if you keep thinking like it's going to be completely harder because of the new system, you'll be really disappointed...

Yeah if the difficulty could be like in KH2FM that would be great.

That being said, I'm still expecting it to be at least a little harder than past games because this mission is going to be a much more difficult one than Sora has ever been through before. We're definitely going to have to fight bosses in the Realm of Darkness, and the Heartless there are supposed to be MUCH stronger and bigger there than when they're in the RoL. The final boss fight will indeed be the hardest boss in the series. (not counting optional bosses.) It only makes sense...

I can't possibly think anything could be harder or in better words, annoying, than Mysterious Figure and YMX.

Actually, considering KH's track record, I'd say that's probably not gonna happen. Look at each game (and I'll use "<" to mean "is less difficult than"):

  • KH1: Final Ansem SoD < Riku II
  • KH CoM/Re:CoM: Marluxia < Riku IV
  • KH2: Final Xemnas < Xaldin
  • KH Days: Riku < That friggin Heartless in Neverland
  • BBS: Final TerraNort < other TerraNorts
  • Coded: I don't even know
  • 3D: Armor < Ansem II

Like, in no KH game thus far is the final boss the most difficult storyline boss. It is usually the most epic or one of the most epic though, so there is that. And we can expect the same from KH3, I think.

Harder bosses because it's on PS4? Have you ever played Megaman?

Well, i meant that they could be harder in the way that they could have better AI and better strategies.

The Final Boss will not be the hardest, because in every KH game, the extra bosses are almost always harder than the final bosses.

Yeah that's why I didn't count those.

Good point. The only boss in KH I ever had extreme trouble with, was Leechgrave in Days. That was the only one to make me SCREAM. It was complete bullshit, even the memory irks me...lol.

That'd be nice!

Anyone who believes that newer technology causes games to get harder has probably never played 8-bit games.

Can't really say though. If the bosses get more powers and more capabilities. So will Sora.

For sure it will be more difficult. Ever since Kingdom Hearts 2 the creators knew their mistakes of making the game too linear and too easy trust me it will be difficult.

True.

don't bring u- those horrible memories.... sigma, shudder

I agree with Gimli (Xigboss)! Legend of Zelda bosses...Good God! The Original Mario/Donkey Kong, Jump Man....

I doubt they'll use the touch screen.

Why so?
