He had much better dialog, he didn't get excited about everything, he wasn't half as naive, His emotions were more realistic(in kingdom hearts 2 when he was crying in front of riku is wasn't convincing in the slightest) overall i just think he's a much better character than he was in ddd and kh2 

they both had their charms I thought both were good kh1 was better though your right

Not really...Sora was always a character I liked. I lked him in every single game.

Both have their pros and cons. Sora in kh1 is everything you said but he was still childish.

The problem with kh2 is they tried way too hard to keep that childish attitude in Sora when he should've matured. Maybe he didn't mature mentally because he was asleep for a year... Lol

I like how people overglorify Terra,Aqua and Ven as if they're the best characters ever written in the history of fiction

 

I rather have a light-hearted character that can easily blend with the world he visit rather than people who won't STFU about light and Darkness even in front of Cinderella (I'm looking at you Aqua)

 

Sora's character was meant to represent the player as he visit those disney worlds by himself for the first time

 

If you were in Sora's place,won't you react as curious and excited as he is,or pathetically try to look like a badass by talking non-stop about light darkness light darky dark dark darkness.Dude Sora in terms of characteristics and personality  is similar to the likes of Sonic The Hedgehog or Zidane Tribal

 

And that's one of the reasons why Birth by Sleep is my least favorite....I know the series is known for a deep mysterious plot...but BBS takes itself waaaaaay too seriously.

 

 

 

If you want a character that behaves absolutely childish....look no further than Tidus from FFX

He is the exact same character as Sora in terms of personality.

 

he's light-hearted,he can be naive at times,and he's curious about the world he visit

 

Only difference is Ventus has a tragic fate and that's it.

I also have this impression. Sora was more serious in KH1 definitely, and when KH2 come up, he was really more naive and excited about everything like you said. I think that they wanted to expand this impression with each game, but they really overdid it in KH3D.

I don't have a problem with that: He's still Sora after all! But I definitely want him to be more like the way he was in the first Kingdom Hearts, or at least the KH2, I didn't really mind him there, in the next game. They're really pushing putting him like that.

In terms of outfit? No. In terms of voice acting? No. In terms of behavior? ...suuuuure why not.

I think Re:CoM Sora is one of the best. Overall, I like all of the depictions of him, even Data Sora. I once read a character review for Sora. Sora is a happy-go-lucky character to signify his trust in people. He immediately trusts the people who should be trusted. This doesn't make him stupid, does he ever listen to Xemnas or Ansem? I think his over-excitableness is something that makes him a very dynamic character. Some may think he's annoying, I think he's cool.

KH1 Sora does have his charm, but I ultimately don't have a preference because the fundamental, most important parts of his character stay with him throughout.  In terms of appearance, give me KH2 Sora any day; I far prefer it over his KH1 model.

It would feel wrong because they now are trying to have sora look and act more mature. Plus we are entering next gen consoles so they want to experiment with it.

Nope but it's probally because I have see it a lot so I got tired of it.

I think I figured out a valid reason for Sora's personality to change a bit in KHII, and it is all DIZ's fault! When he messed with Roxas's memories and altered his personality to make it so he would be forced to help Sora, he didn't realize that when they would merge back together some of his programming affect interfere with Sora! Or possibly it was by having Roxas try to relive a Sora like life that caused Sora's memories to be assembled a bit differently and thus slightly altering his personality. So, in other words even if some could blame Namine, I am going to blame DIZ.
