Things From Childhood Shows That Scared/Creeped You Out

Posted

I'm interested in what you guys have to say. Here are some of mine:

Yip Yip Martians from Sesame Street

Whatever this thing is called from Teletubbies

 Him from The Powerpuff Girls

Where do I even begin?

Since you mentioned Sesame Street, I remember one skit teaching you about not crossing the street without an adult.  There was a pan of these creepy-ass looking cars and the kid's eyes turned firetrucking red (literally).

But a lot of my favorite shows back in the had had a few creepy scenes or two.  I'd be here all day trying to remember them all.

there goes my sleep.

Well there's to many things to list, but a lot of stuff from Ren and Stimpy and Courage scared the living hell out of me

The horror of the blue thing is that it's actually a demented dream of a trumpet....EHHHH

EVERYTHING EVER FROM COURAGE THE COWARDLY DOG.EVER.

King Ramses single handedly screwed up my childhood... I was scared that if I looked out into my yard during the night, I'd see him there.

King Ramses and that blue thing from the last episode scared the crap out of me when I was younger."The Bird" from Sesame street. Look it up. NOT BIG BIRD.This one is sort of embarrassing, but The Munchkins from The Wizard of Oz. I even had dreams that there was a munchkin for each direction, NSEW. They were demons who tried to kill people. The Wicked Witch from The Wizard of Oz... but she didn't scare me as much as the munchkins.

Also this

and this

oh and this

Brave Little Toaster was freaky.

Courage and Invader Zim

Do movies count? If they do then I would say when the kids turned into donkeys in Pinocchio

You dick...now the bed wetting is gonna start again.  :

You're welcome :)

That scene near the end of "Who Framed Rodger Rabbit?" was ESPECIALLY traumatizing. I had nightmares for 2 weeks, and I was always afraid that he would jump out of the dark when I was in bed.

Still scares me. And i'm eighteen.

First time I saw that I cried.

Not a show, but my mom showed me The Shining when I was a kid.  Wasn't exactly her best parenting moment.

Also, this entire show:

I saw this when I was in 4th grade. I was petrified of my shower after that lol. But watching it now I see how silly it is. The book was 2000 times better.

I don't blame ya, so did I. It makes me grimace to this day. Ruined the entire movie for me D:

And I agree with you, I still find it disturbing and it's been 8 years

I think I'm the only one who found enemies/whatever characters creepy but not scary; in fact funny. Here's an example:

inb4rage, although I admit out of all the episode, I've never seen the episodes that the face at 0:35 onwards. *Goes to watch it*

That show... just, that show...

And the really weird thing about that show is that I always ended up watching it at my grandparents' house...

i dont see how people would find them "scary" per say, but then again, its a forum, lots of things are possible

The door in my house that moved by itself whenever I moved at night.

I always looked away at this scene when I was younger ahaha

My mom let me watch "The boy in striped pajamas" when i was 7. I had no idea what was going on the whole time, and it was scary at the end, for them to die in a dark damp gas chamber.

Also, my mom let me  also watch this one movie where a mom who has a daughter, adopts a strange child, who turns out to be a 70 year old midget, who ends up getting the mom and adopted daughter killed by having both of them drown in the bath tub.

Yeah. She wasn't thinking. :|
