That's the issue you see, if the lights get hold of him he might be able to regain his memory. However if someone like Xehanort gets hold of him, because he remembers nothing he could be suspectable to change and given 'false memories' by Xehanorts, I think that Ansem may get it back but then again I think he might become one of the thirteenth darknesses.

I didn't think of it that way and I think you are right but I don't think that Xehanort will find him and if he does, Ansem the Wise has a keyblade master by his side to defend him!!!

This was actually my first thought when I realized the thirteenth spot was free.

Maybe Sora will use the Key To Return Hearts to bring back his memory.

I'm slightly guessing that he might, since most characters seem to have their memories return to them eventually.  It could take a while, though, and perhaps even require some special task of sorts.
