Posted July 29, 201312 yr In KH2FM you couldn't attack with the X button like in the normal version of KH2 but with O button. Does the same thing happen with KHFM???
July 29, 201312 yr That's because the game was a Japanese version. There, the attack button is O. The KHFM in Japan had the attack button with O as well. Since the game's being localized, the commands will be normal English version like: X is the button for attack. It's not because it's a Final Mix game, it's about the region the game's coming.

Oh okay, I didn't know that it was like this due to the region!! Thanks!!
July 29, 201312 yr i hope it stays O for 2.5 using X is so inconvenient , plus in kh3d we used Japanese controls
July 29, 201312 yr i hope it stays O for 2.5 using X is so inconvenient , plus in kh3d we used Japanese controls but that was on a 3ds in which A is located where O would be on a PS3 they will still use X for US because US games use X not O. Plus English has ALWAYS used X so that would be strange. Edited July 29, 201312 yr by khluvr89
July 29, 201312 yr I really prefer the way the Japanese do it. The X button seems much easier to use than the O button for jumping. Pretty much every platformer uses the X button to jump anyways.
July 29, 201312 yr I wouldn't mind making the change from x to o, I've played BBSFM with O and it didn't take long to get used to
July 29, 201312 yr I always get confused whenever I play the FM's. *tries to jump but attacks instead* Shit! *does it right but messes up again 2 seconds later* Dammit! ....*surrounded by enemies and keeps pressing jump* EGJIROEkkfa OHMYGOD ATTACK, I'M GONNA DIE!

July 29, 201312 yr Yeah that's what I thought when I first played KH2FM and I thought it's much more convenient than using the O button to jump!!! Yeah the same I experienced for BBSFM and the original japanese version.. Although in KH 3D they seem to have moved the controls so that the button on the 3ds that represents the x button on a playstation controller is used for jumping. I can't remember the letter because I don't play my 3ds that often, but it was definitely nice to use the Japanese controls in an English KH game. Edited July 29, 201312 yr by Mog
July 29, 201312 yr I am used to X being attack, and O being jump. If O is attack then I would prefer an option to switch it, but I wouldn't want it forced upon everyone.
July 29, 201312 yr Should be X button since other fans are already used to it, it's a matter of muscle memory.
July 31, 201312 yr It really doesn't matter to me, but I guess it would help some people if they had different buttons layout.
July 31, 201312 yr I think its going to stay the same, and personally I wouldn't like using O at all, it would feel uncomfortable well at least for me.
July 31, 201312 yr Author Using x to jump and o for commands feels a lot better Yeah it does!!btw congrats for winning the competition!!
