Most annoying Legendary to catch without a Master Ball?

Posted

Have you ever been in the situation when you caught a Legendary with your Master Ball, only to realize that you have another Legendary left or you're saving your Master Ball for a much stronger Legendary????

This is the kind of situation where you'll have to stock on a shit ton of Ultra Balls. That's exactly what happened to me in Soul Silver

Before I go on I gotta ask, which is the most annoying Legendary to catch without a Master Ball????

You might wonder why I told you what I said above??? Because I discovered who it really is:

HO-OH

As much as I love Ho-oh and he's one of my favorite Legendaries,Ho-oh has to be the most annoying battle I ever had in a Pokemon game without a Master Ball

Ho-oh's catch rate is so low that you'll spend an unbelievable amount of Balls to catch it.It's catch rate is (0.4%)  (Taken from Bulbapedia)

I used 50....that's right...OVER FIFTY ULTRA BALLS....AND STILL WASN'T ENOUGH TO CATCH IT DESPITE THAT I PARALYZED IT AND IT HAS VERY LITTLE HP LEFT....I finally caught it on my 55th Ultra Ball.

You might be wondering why I didn't use my Master Ball against Ho-oh,the answer is because I was saving it for Mewtwo....I used so many balls on Ho-oh that I couldn't imagine how many balls it would take me to catch Mewtwo since I didn't look up his catch rate back then.

Used around 120 Ultra Balls, and 30 Great Balls. Caught it with a Net Ball out of desperation o.o

im pretty sure almost all legendarys has a catch rate of 3 (excluding some obv ones. im looking at you reshiram and zekrom)

and for me it was mewtwo. yea i know you have to use a master ball but when i was playing the game i didnt know that... i wasted litterally more than 100 ultraballs and had to reset my game more than 20 times. all because i wasted the masterball on a polywhirl.

Mewtwo is defiantly the most annoying Legendary Pokemon to catch ever

I never use Master Balls to catch legendaries.

I save them for no reason...

hmm it has to be shaymin...really hard to catch...I never use masterballs...I only use basic pokeballs

I always manage to catch all legendaries with around 20 ultra balls. 0_0 To answer the question: I find roaming legendaries hard to catch.

Tornadus because I had to RNG abuse it a lot, and I couldn't tell if I successfully did it. With the catch rate and waiting for it to appear, it was a pain. Luckily I managed to catch it in a matching Nest Ball, like I like to do with most of my captures.

WOBBUFFET! :D

I caught groudon with a poke ball :3

I never have that problem.

Because I'm one of those people that uses Action Replay for master balls. Everything else I'll do on my own though.

Latios.

In the original Sapphire game...I could never catch it. It was low on health and paralyzed, but it refused to be catched. Nothing I did worked. It was similarly difficult in White 2, but after several of just about every Pokeball I finally caught it.

Have you ever had Resiram or Zekrom deny you capture more than 3 times? i doubt it...

Reshiram and Zekrom have high catch rate to the point you can catch them with a Poke Ball.

As for the 3 times.....no....You can't progress through BlackWhite 1 without catching them....They're MANDATORY CATCHES

The only way to avoid Catching Reshiram and Zekrom is to fill your PC storage to the max so they would be denied by the game automatically

I meant that I threw Pokeballs at them 4 times before I could catch them...

I've thrown Ultra Balls at them 6 times and they never denied it after 4 times.

Even if you knocked them out...they'll battle you again and again until you catch them

What I'm saying here is that I have a bad luck streak with Legendary Pokemon. Heck, sometimes I can't even catch a freakin' Magikarp.

lol even Magikarp. Has Quick balls done the same to you?

Yes, I only trust the Masterball... It's the only one that has never failed me intensely.

But there is the net ball and the wave ball that can easily catch water type Pokemon

...

Bro, you don't even know.

I don't catch them. I intentionally KO them out of spite.

Dialga/Palkia.  Those roaming legendaries are annoying, but at least you get the chance to try again.  The second chance for these guys comes after a loooong hike up a mountain filled to the brim with trainers, and a boss battle at the end.  Sure, the catch rate is higher than the other legendaries, but when the time comes to fight them, my Pokeymans don't have the stamina and I don't have the patience to try to whittle Dialga/Palkia down to low health, while resisting their attacks, then go through all those ultra balls.  Whenever I try to catch them the old fashioned way, I say "screw this," toss a master ball at them and call it a day.

For me, its a tie between Lugia, Ho-oh, Articuno, Zapdos, and Moltres. "MISSED!" "MISSED!" "MISSED!"
