Doing another because once every 2 days right *Hi 5 self since no one else would*

Why do you play games sounds like a simple question most would stay story or something but what's the deeper reason if you have one

I guess I play games sometimes to go to a world with ton of fun and to get away from the troubles of my parents (ugh).

I play games just to have fun meet the wonders and amazement of these other worlds I guess it's also because i'm not good at out door activities since when I was younger I spent a good time playing games with my brother and his friends so I guess those are the reasons I play video games. So how about you why do you play video games?

Next topic will probably be anime related though.

Edit: That was my 100th post yeah let's get 1000 I highly doubt i will though

because they're part of who i am. They can make me feel better when i've had a horrible day, or can give me something to look forward to. also because they're fun and my friends and i talk about them.

I like games.  I suppose being a trophy whore or collection whore would come into play and the sense of achievement you get when completing all your goals, but I also see a lot of games as stories you have a more interactive role in.  I wouldn't even say I do it to waste time because I don't see it as a waste of time to do something you enjoy.

I like going on adventures. And it's a way to escape from all the daily struggles of life.

Entertainment

by its very definition is an escape from reality. So I would guess anyone who plays video games for entertainment, does so to escape reality.....

I have aspergers so all the numbers and grinding really appeal too me, i love maths so games like disgaea and ff are perfect xDDDD

also i love a good story so that

also also Love dat adrenaline rush from fighters and fast paced rpg's xDDD

also also Also to get into a world away from reality, and to get a quiet place when i need a break from chaos and noise :)

also also also also do you really need a reason too like kingdom hearts lol

Because that's my life and love.

In games, nobody tortures me.

Its because they're fun and lets you escape the boringness of reality. It also my favorite thing to do and its probably the only thing I do beside watchin anime and reading(manga/light novels) that I can describe as fun.

Well games do torture you since you're not actually in the game........Damn why can't Virtual Reality come faster *sigh*

To escape the boringness of reality, and lose myself in a good story with good gameplay and awesome characters. Its better then just watching TV all day.

To escape reality,

I actually really hate real people and I'm no good with people ( I don't really get along with them and I can't talk with people I don't know and I think that everyone hates me including my friends) , that's why I prefer not only games, but also books, TV, music rather than meeting with real people, even my friends, because you can't turn people off if they annoy you but you can do that with games. And they keep me from going insane and getting depressed. And most importantly it gives me things to look really forward to.

I play video games to transport myself into a completely new world. What I love about video games is the powerful and emotional stories they can tell. People often discard video games as a waste of time, but it's only because they haven't put the time to play one. A video game can change your perspective on life, such as the Kingdom Hearts series, and we relate to the characters to such an extent that they become a part of us. Video games are a powerful form of art, people just don't realize it yet. :)

Games have one thing that puts them apart from all other forms of entertainment: Interaction. Sure, I can see a story in a movie, or read a book, but do I get to interact with the characters? Do I get to control at least some aspect of the story? No. That's where games come in. Games immerse the player in their world, and make me feel like I'm the hero who's saving the world, and not some guy off to the side watching it all. I'm more involved in the storyline, making it feel so much more real and emotional. I can experience a completely different spectrum of life, in a world I normally wouldn't be able to see. One of my favorite examples of this kind of immersion is the Half Life series, specifically the 2nd. I've never played a game that put me in the hero position like that one did. I really felt like I was the one saving the Earth from the alien invaders, freeing the human race. That's why I love gaming.

As old as I was when I first touched a game....I enjoyed it. Plus, playing with my grandkids on a daily basis got me more into it. You could say it brought the kid out in me.

Because that's my life and love.

......*is hoping you aren't being torchered irl now ;-;*

Anyways, I like games cuz. They give me something to do when i'm bored, the competition is kinda fun, the adventure, ext.....
