So Riku summons Destinys Embrace in KH2 & gives it to Kairi. Do you think Riku & Aqua met in the RoD & Aqua gave it to him to give to Kairi? That was originally Aqua's keyblade, and there is no reason for Riku to have such a...girly keyblade. Plus he can't duel weild so like wtf? Thoughts?

Real men wield girly keyblades. Mickey cant dual wield and he still uses his other keyblade.

in BBS i just thought of Destiny's Embrace as being more of an easter egg type thing like they just threw it in there because it related to Kairi but if u think of it as belonging to Aqua originally it does raise some questions

It's kinda related to Aquas Keyblade.

Riku has spent some time in the Dark Realm. You know who else has? Mickey. Mickey has spent even more time there. You know who spent a whole bunch of time working with Riku after KH1? Mickey. You know who Aqua was friends with 10 years prior? Mickey.

 

Maybe Mickey did happen to go and see Aqua at one point. There's nothing to say for sure how he got a hold of Destiny's Embrace, but that is a connection. A

 

It's Blank Points that kind of pokes a hole in that, even if it's a small hole. Aqua doesn't know anything about what's gone in the real world. Maybe Mickey just didn't let her in on much... maybe her met her before anything happened.

 

EDIT:

 

Maybe part of the spell that Aqua put on Kairi was to also provide her with her own "for emergency use only" keyblade. Maybe she picked the newly obtained Destiny's Embrace out of a hat, or maybe the spell just entailed a single random keyblade to be assigned. Maybe Kairi didn't realize she had it, but being a wielder, Riku did, and somehow summoned it for her and gave it to her.

the more i think about this the more i began to believe that either Riku or more likely Mickey met Aqua in the RoD its driving me crazy and i never even thought about this possiblity :mellow:
