I surely hope so. You won't be able to understand anything in depth in KHIII unless you play/watch KH3D, so it would be smart to do so. I mean seriously. People will be like "What the...! I thought Axel died!" and "Who the crap is this kid with the silver hair!?" Every other game is being covered in the remixes, but KH3D isn't, and it sure as heck is more important than Re:Coded. Tell me what you guys think.

Maybe they will have a mementos like DDD did or use flashbacks.

I have thought about this before, and I think it can go either way.  I will say yes if the game comes out in 2015, but if we are expecting a longer wait for it, I would think they would use 2015 for a final mix or simply a remake on it's own for playstation.  They seem to be trying hard to keep it a game a year, so I think it all depends on whether 3 is ready by 2015.

No, not completely. I'm not saying KH3D is ABSOLUTELY and UTTERLY NEEDED to understand KHIII, but it would help quite a bit.

I personally weep for anyone who chose to skip Birth by Sleep and Dream Drop Distance. Those games were damn near perfect, and they fill in allll the blanks for KHIII.
