It seems like a lot of people on this site hate GTA 5 for some reason. I mean, I admit that i have no interest in GTA 5 either but I don't hate it. I think that GTA 5 is a great game that has a lot to offer in terms of playability and is  great game. i just have no interest in it because it's just not my kind of game. And yes, I have played the other GTA games before. I'll admit that they were fun games but I like to play games that have more adventure and fiction in it more than games that kind of relate to real life (though I'll give Metal Gear Solid and Assassin's Creed an excuse since I like those games even though they kind of involve stuff in real life in terms of history). But seriously, why does everyone here hate GTA 5 so much? I've been interested to know why.

Morality has nothing to do with it, some people like violent games and some don't. I know a lot of people who seem to like violent stuff but have a pretty good sense of morals.Besides, if you think about it, in Kingdom Hearts Sora often beats people into unconsciousness and takes their money. I'm sure we should stop playing KH too

What I mean is that there are some games that deserve the same attention GTA V has been receiving. It's not that GTA V doesn't deserve it of course, it has improved greatly since GTA IV, but there are some good games that are barely mentioned in comparison with GTA V.

Agreed 100%...I have no hate for the game, but it is WAAAAAYYYYYY overhyped....

But see that's the thing. People don't "like it". It's usually i see these same people who bash and criticize it because it's "not their type of game".And it's not even just people on this site talking about COD or GTA V, it's something people do everywhere. That shit's just annoying >_>

I haven't seen anyone on this site proclaim to hate GTA, really. Just people who have no interest in it, and no interest =/= hate.

It's cause Saints Row IV is better.

People who hate or have something negativity towards the game should consider playing the game first before making opinions. If they say they don't like it after playing the game then I take it. I personally loved GTA V.  

I have not heard one person on this site say they hate it. Haven't heard one person in real life either. Everywhere I go people are talking about how much they love it, I'm not even kidding.

I thought everyone here is worshipping GTA V....guess I was wrong

 

Anyway,for me the only game I eve liked in the series was GTA San Andreas ....and by the time I was done with it I never had any interest to go back to it

 

GTA V is more of the same thing we've seen in the series....this time even more realistic which is a no no for me

 

If I want realism,I'll go outside,watch a movie or watch the news

 

Besides,the premise of the protagonists of"I'm the biggest most sadistic asshole in town" makes characters like Trevor and the other two douchebags completely unrelateble.There is nothing I can relate to with these asshole trio

 

the GTA series in general was never my type and I'm not planning to get GTA 5 unless someone gives it to me for free

Sora does not beat people and take their money, he destroys heartless and the in-game currency appears as a reward.  GTA takes video game violence to a whole new level basing the game about doing illegal activities (illegal in real life, that is)

i love GTA V they even included goddess RiRi  on the radio the game is a lot of fun anyone who says otherwise i just trying to be cool by making his opinion stand out from the others hipster these days >_>

I don't hate GTA5, never been interested in the whole GTA series, wasn't my thing (my sister and mother love it though).  Only thing I actually know about it is the overflow error that was present.

i mean... you can't really expect to get a decent answer for this because its personal preference. For example, i want the game just to play with my friends after school and over the weekends. Its just havin fun. it's a video game. Thats like asking why do people prefer call of duty over battlefield. its what the gamer prefers. ya know? well thats just my two cents. sorry if it sounds a bit disrespectful lol

Awesome game though

I personally think the series is good, but im not altogether bothered. i might consider getting it for the online gameplay but the campaign doesnt interest me at all. i can see why it might be appealing but quite frankily i like a game with a bit of depth and quality to it, gta always felt cheap to me but maybe thats just me.
