Posted November 11, 201311 yr last cut scene of dream drop distance where they show Ven, he hasn't aged at all? 9-10 years have past and hes still a kid?
November 11, 201311 yr Nomura Logic. I assume the comatose state is his reason for not aging The RoD different flow of time is Aqua's reason for not aging And Terra being possessed by MX will be his reason for not aging People want young fit protagonists. We have come to learn through many things that old people are evil
November 11, 201311 yr THAT'S your question about Ventus' age? It can be logically explained that he hasn't aged because his entire biological process has halted with the absence of a heart. MY question about Ventus' age is why he looks exactly the same at 11 (supposedly) years old as he does four years later in BBS. His actual age is debatable but I think 15 is probably pretty accurate. But he doesn't look a day younger, yet in that span of time Sora went from an infant to a full-grown little boy.

November 11, 201311 yr last cut scene of dream drop distance where they show Ven, he hasn't aged at all? 9-10 years have past and hes still a kid? It's because his heart is asleep and if one's heart is a asleep they can't age.
November 11, 201311 yr Fool. Plus, if you hadn't noticed, they were in a dream. No one, including Ventus, would know how Ventus would look even if his body did age. So they see him as he was when he fell asleep.
November 11, 201311 yr The body doesn't age without a heart. Quick question (since you pretty much know everything about this), why didn't Ven's heart grow back? It's already been established that the body will replace the heart the first chance it gets, so why hasn't the same thing happened with Ventus? Does it have something to do with the fact that he was sleeping, or the circumstances in which he lost his heart? Either way, I would like to know.
November 11, 201311 yr I personally believe that it's because the flow of time is slower in CO (Land of Departure) than most other worlds. Sora grew from a baby to a four-year-old at the beginning of BBS, and Ventus, Terra, and Aqua didn't age much if at all over those 4 years.
November 11, 201311 yr @ Mr Mancer His heart is inside Sora, So im trying to understand why does he need another heart, when sora can just give it back to him, which is prob. coming up in the next game

So they see him as he was when he fell asleep. I think they are also refering to the scene in the end where Ven smiles in CO- that wasn't a dream Quick question (since you pretty much know everything about this), why didn't Ven's heart grow back? It's already been established that the body will replace the heart the first chance it gets, so why hasn't the same thing happened with Ventus? Does it have something to do with the fact that he was sleeping, or the circumstances in which he lost his heart? Either way, I would like to know. Well it was mentioned that a heart can grow back in certain conditions where it can be nurtured - something Ven's body cannot do since he is alone away from all human contact by himself- which is why some of the org members grew or started to grow hearts and some didn't . Being around people with hearts seem to help nurture a heart which is what happened especially with Axel- thats why Sora and Roxas made Axel feel like he had a heart - being around them nurtured this . Another factor could also be that Ven's heart isn't lost to darkness but sleeping in Sora . Even then it has a connection to Ven's body like when Ven smiled in the end of DDD when Sora went to thank the Dream Eaters. Sora grew from a baby to a four-year-old at the beginning of BBS, and Ventus, Terra, and Aqua didn't age much if at all over those 4 years. Nomura has already said the body doesn't age without a heart - its like it's in stasis- which is why his body doesn't need food or to shit lol. Also there was an actual 4 year lapse of time from when Sora was a newborn and healed Ven and the second time his heart went to Sora again .During BBS Sora wasn't even in LoD- he was in DI

I realize Sora was never in the Land of Departure. But that's precisely my point. Four years going by in the Destiny Islands, and almost no time going by in LoD would suggest that DI's time flow is faster, wouldn't it? I'm not saying that Ventus's lack of a heart ISN'T the cause, but I don't believe it's the only cause. There are other characters besides Ventus who still have their hearts but haven't aged in a logical way either. Again, this is all just my personal opinion. Feel free to disagree. This is just the theory that satisfies me the most.

Are there any kind of specifications for what can help to grow a heart? Does it require being close to someone, or something? Because Ventus was, in a way, surrounded by plenty of people during the period of time when Castle Oblivion was occupied by the Organization. (I also think it was hinted at one point that Axel knew where he was, but I can't be sure of that.) I suppose it makes sense the opposite is true, however, because Sora made it a point to define Hearts as "made up of the people we meet, and how we feel about them", so if Ventus was asleep all of this time, he wouldn't have been able to "meet" anyone new, or display any kind of emotion towards them. But again, I can't say for sure if that's the only way this process can work, or if there's some kind of method to it that can be made flexible in order to suit the needs of the person itself. Kind of like Nomura and the entire Kingdom Hearts story Edited November 11, 201311 yr by Mr. Mancer

Also there was an actual 4 year lapse of time from when Sora was a newborn and healed Ven and the second time his heart went to Sora again .During BBS Sora wasn't even in LoD- he was in DI Well im guessing that Nobodies are an exception with a body not ageing without a heart, since obviously Axel and Saix aged from BBS, when they became nobodies as teenagers, and Axel didnt start gaining a heart and having it nurtured until 10 years later when he met Roxas, yet he still aged from a teenager to an adult AS A NOBODY WITHOUT A HEART. So im guessing they're an exception, otherwise thats a plot hole.

Kind of like Nomura and the entire Kingdom Hearts story Nobodies are not exactly human anymore - they are nobodies and aren't suppose to exist. Secondly no one was around Ven's body - not even the org . They looked but never found him - not even Axel .They weren't specific about the rules of what it takes but did mention that a heart can grow back under certain conditions like being nurtured . If there are more it wasn't specifically mentioned . Being nurtured also includes gaining memories and experiences and such Well im guessing that Nobodies are an exception with a body not ageing without a heart, since obviously Axel and Saix aged from BBS, when they became nobodies as teenagers, and Axel didnt start gaining a heart and having it nurtured until 10 years later when he met Roxas, yet he still aged from a teenager to an adult AS A NOBODY WITHOUT A HEART. November 11, 201311 yr Everyone else has said it, in the KH universe, a body can't age without a heart. Ven was asleep without a heart all this time, so his entire biological clock is in suspended limbo. I know that's not how it works with our comas, but think of it being like Captain America being frozen in ice for 50+ years. (ignore the fact that Ven WAS actually frozen at one point, that had nothing to do with it) Also, Quick question (since you pretty much know everything about this), why didn't Ven's heart grow back? It's already been established that the body will replace the heart the first chance it gets, so why hasn't the same thing happened with Ventus? Does it have something to do with the fact that he was sleeping, or the circumstances in which he lost his heart? Either way, I would like to know. That's because that rule applies to NOBODIES. Ven, though put in eerily similar circumstances, is NOT a Nobody. His heart was split in two, and after he finally put it together again, he lost it. But he only lost it because he destroyed the X-Blade, which means instead of FORMING a Nobody, his body was left to slumber, as his heart did not go to the Realm of Darkness, but rather, the blurry line between Dark and Light. This led to his heart eventually finding its way to Sora's, and so remained in the Realm of Light. He never turned into a Heartless, so a Nobody could not be formed, even if his heart was separated from his body. They still function separately from each other as if they were together, only Ven needs to be asleep. It works much like how Aurora did.

I feel that Lea and Isa are plotholes, along with Ienzo.
November 11, 201311 yr Well still, i mean i doubt they waited until they were adults to lose their hearts, they would be MORE MATURE BY THEN to try and sneak into the palace. I feel that Lea and Isa are plotholes, along with Ienzo. That depends on the reason why they were doing it - which was never stated . As for 'waited'- i doubt it was their plan to ever lose their hearts XDD

I feel they are plot holes aswell. I know what you meant - i'm just saying we don't know why they were even trying to sneak in to say it was 'immature '. It depends on what and why they did it. That said, this is Nomura - and i wouldn't rule out plothole either .Just saying there isn't enough info in their case to say so ..Zexion is another story .
November 21, 201311 yr The body doesn't age without a heart. Also,it has something to do with the place that Castle Oblivion went to
November 21, 201311 yr Also,it has something to do with the place that Castle Oblivion went to What do you mean ?
November 21, 201311 yr I mean, isn't it now somewhere between Light and Darkness?? An inbetween world ? Yes it is . But that wouldn't stop someone from growing/aging. Look at Namine and Roxas for example . They both grew and they spent their existence in inbetween worlds . However, it's now proven they grew hearts of their own so now it makes sense ( ven's heart being asleep and inactive aside). I can see why you would think that though since nobodies are associated with the inbetween and they aren't suppose to grow without hearts
