I come across a shit ton of debates about this and wanted to know what you guys think of it?Something to support your opinion/argument would be great.Edit: Thought I should add that i firmly believe the landing was real. Looking at how far technology has come I really don't see why it's considered impossible.Even if Neil's landing may have been faked, i doubt the other missions were fake

If someone is going to be stupid enough to think that the moon landing really is a conspiracy, then there's no proof I can offer that they will believe.

 

I know it happened, NASA knows it happened, the rest of the sane world knows it happened.... honestly I thought this conspiracy theory was finally blown out of the water after the recent LRO mission.

This. Exactly this. Arguing the conspiracy is pointless, because anyone who is stupid enough to believe that bullshit won't be convinced otherwise.

No, and honestly when people suggest crazy stuff like this it's a huge disgrace to the people who risked their lives as astronauts to explore "beyond the surly bonds of earth." Things like short wave radio were invented because of space travel and millions of people have witnessed rocket launches. It's really silly to entertain ideas of conspiracy at this point when companies like Space X and others now offer flights into space to those who can afford them. Also to those who have died in space related accidents, I don't think they would give up their lives in defense of a hoax. Grow up, seriously.

I view these things the same way I view religion.  I don't care if it happened or not.  I've never actually looked at the moon landing footage (proper raw footage, since parodies and copies of it in media but not the original)

There is proof that we went there. There's a special mirror called a retro-reflector that was placed on the moon during one of the lunar landing missions that no matter what direction a beam of light hits it from, it will be reflected back. There's an observatory on Earth with a HUGE laser that fires its beam at this hunk of silver and detects the reflected light from it. It's used primarily to record the distance from the Earth to the moon, but the fact that if the beam is fired somewhere else on the lunar surface the detectors find nothing is enough proof. In order for the photons of the laser beam to be reflected back to Earth in a detectable amount, something man-made has to be on the surface of the moon.
