December 15, 201311 yr I have no clue who these characters are so I can't answer your question. This response was brought to you by the letter 2. For 2badSosad.
December 15, 201311 yr Author All these characters appeared in Pinocchio 1940, my apologies I should have explained this.
December 15, 201311 yr generally Square keeps the worlds to the minimum of the main cast or the most recognizable characters. NPCs or side characters are few and far between. Why they do this? I have no clue, but I'm presuming money issues.
December 15, 201311 yr They weren't integral to the storyline to bother animating them. Animation costs money so it's throwing it down the drain to do it for the sake of it when they won't add anything other than making it more akin to the original movie. Pretty much the same reason we don't see anyone's parents. To integrate their own characters the antagonists are usually replaced by their originals, like Xaldin being the villain in Beast's Castle opposed to Gaston, and the hooded figure in PP. It's odd though cause when Pinocchio was going to be in Days, there was sprites for Honest John like he was going to have a part.
December 15, 201311 yr To tell you the truth your right, some of those characters should've appeared in the game and I think that Prankster's Paradise was poor from characters side.
December 15, 201311 yr Because the Coachman is legitimately terrifying and still scares the hell out of me. Another reason is because DDD is rushed, under developed, and didn't use the content of the Disney worlds nearly as well as they should have been.
December 15, 201311 yr They would have been too many characters, and the stories for these worlds are meant to be a little more condensed than the console games. Ironically, they would have distracted from the main story of the level, despite it actually adding to the story in the movie. Point is, there are always less characters in these levels because the goal is to have Sora help move the story, and only a few villagers are needed for getting hints or just shooting the breeze. Still, characters like Giddeon, Honest Jon, Stramboli, and the Coachmen would have been interesting to have in that game as villains, however they don't have a lot of screen time. The main villain of that movie was the world itself, and Pinocchio learns that the world can be a dangerous place if you don't act good or smart enough. The only sort of antagonist that left enough of an impact on the story was Monstro himself, as it tends to be the most parodied part of the movie. Ultimately, these lack of characters showed that they weren't needed to move the story around, at least in the game. It was a bit weird having an entire amusement park to yourself, but that just sort of adds to the whole Dream Theme. And in the end, that is my final argument: It was all a dream, so that's why!
December 15, 201311 yr Funny, I watched Pinocchio today, and I still didn't bother memorizing the side-characters names. Plus, to me, they weren't that important to the plot, and I think everyone else was waiting for Monstro more than they would have seen the side-characters.
December 15, 201311 yr Probably laziness, waste of money, space restrictions, couldn't find the right voice actors, plot-ruining, lack of interest, offensitivity, among other things.
December 15, 201311 yr Because the Coachman is legitimately terrifying and still scares the hell out of me. Another reason is because DDD is rushed, under developed, and didn't use the content of the Disney worlds nearly as well as they should have been. Basically this. They weren't deemed as important to worry about when you are rushing the story .
