Don't expect a relationship resolution: Kingdom hearts is a franchise, and because of this they will want to keep the series going as long as they can keep squeezing money out of it. Tetsuya Nomura even said this was going to be the resolution of the Xehanort saga and not the end of Kingdom hearts itself. So they are going to need to hold off some things from getting resolved to release in later games. As such I don't think that any of the main cast will be going beyond anything other then really good friends. Am I right or wrong?

I just hope this prediction is wrong. I would like them to kiss at least once or twice, with the second time being seen by Riku, then later being made fun of, with me scolding him for it later.

It'd be nice just to have the sexual tension that's been building up between them throughout the games disappear if they at least just admit that they like each other. 

Is the kiss really needed though? 

Nomura is going to keep it open just like Tifa, Cloud, Aerith thing.

I can see the two kissing. I'd prefer if they do. Kairi being Sora's girlfriend doesn't change who they are or every way they act around each other. It wouldn't take away from the series theme of friendship. Kairi and Sora are best friends and being in a relationship wouldn't change that much at all.

To be honest, I'm not familiar with it either. But all I know is that I have looked up that interview to see if it was true but, the whole interview was about Final Fantasy. I only played Final Fantasy X so, yes that is plot related somehow. As for the other game, I only saw Snow and Serah together as a couple from watching AMV's. That pairing seems to be popular

Reading it somewhere doesn't help support the idea. Most of us need the evidence to back it.

I wouldn't put the blame on Disney for that. Nomura's in charge of the story after all (including scenes such as the paopu drawings and Sora's thoughts about dancing with Kairi).

Keep it fair for who? SoRiku fans, whatever fans? That's just bs all on its own there. Square doesn't have to care about fairness and equality to earn their cash so easily.  No one ever does and they get money like crazy. I dun see how fairness fits in, or if it even applies to said topic.  All I know is that KH has some drama, but it needs to balance drama and action somehow. Furthering Sora and Kairi's relationship is probably the best way to increase drama in the series. I dunno why, but just the whole manner of use in the word fair in this topic bothers me. It doesn't sit well.

So, to answer the OP's question: no, I don't think Sora will kiss Kairi.

There's always the possibility that it "could" happen. There's hints to their liking each other with the paopu fruit sketches on the wall and flash backs he has...Disney always has some sort of romance going on between characters and the pull they have now on the SE/Disney partner characters could effect the actions in the future of KH. It may or may not happen, even if Sora is friend-zoned I'm fine, but it'd be pretty shitty of them to do.
