ive been playing final fantasy 10 hd for a while now & i noticed something interesting. fist the beach in besaid and the beach in destiny islands look nearly identical also riku's clothes STRONGLY resembles wakka's attire not to menstion thair pants are of the same type also the X shaped thing on wakka's jacket is on riku's shirt anyone noticed these things? it would also explain why tidus & wakka live what do you guys think.

No it's not Besaid,it's just Nomura might be influenced by FFX since both KH1 and FFX  games were developed around the same time and Nomura was the character designer

KH is heavily influenced by FF: Traverse Town and FF4's Baron are very close in general look and feel, and no one tell me Twilight Town isn't like the town in FFIX

Y'know,  a similar thought crossed my mind once . . . .  I do wonder if Destiny Islands really might be Besaid, or at least an AU of it.  I mean, how odd is it that it's also home to Tidus and Wakka?  I know that Tidus isn't originally from Besaid, but I still find it a curious coincidence.

 

Regarding the "Xs" on their clothing . . . .  I think that has more to do with Nomura's belt obsession, along with the X being a notable symbol in the Kingdom Hearts series, rather than it being a connection between FFX and KH.

It's inspired, but definitely not exact.

Inspiration could easily be drawn, but Kingdom Hearts is in its own realm of continuity and not within Final Fantasy's. So it's pretty unlikely.

I used to think it was Besaid back then or like how kh has Disney and ff. I thought DI came from ffX

Destiny Islands is Besaid in the same way that Radiant Garden is Midgard and Twilight town is Balam Gardens.

^ And this is why we will never have an actual FF world in KH.

i dont really see it. destiny islands has more of a club house feel imo.

I don't think they're so similar...

The similarities are striking so maybe! After all Kingdom Hearts is a parallel universe to Final Fantasy.

It's possible that Besaid was an inspiration or Destiny Islands would be not far from it

well since nomura worked to FFX too i think it's quite easy that he got influenced by it...

I always thought they looked similar.
