YESSSSS!!!

Wait who is going to be Mara Jade?  owo

Wait who is going to be Mara Jade?  owo

no-one because she doesn't exist in this new timeline :(

Wait are they seriously going to pull alternate timeline crap on us because that is really lame.

Leaving Mara Jade out of this would be pushing it dangerously close to the "not ok" line, if you ask me.

I'm not familar with a few of them but I do know the original cast, Andy Serkis, John Boyega and Domhnall Gleeson.

I'm delighted to see Andy Serkis announced as part of the cast! I really didn't expect him :D

That's part of the extended universe stuff, which the movies aren't following. Branching it off into a different canon instead of doing what the novels and comics have done.

I'm happy to see some of the old cast returning (I don't pay too much attention to actors, so I only really recognize Mark Hamill and Harrison Ford out of these), but I'm a bit concerned. While they're great actors, it's not like they haven't aged at all. Will Episode VII take place in the future where they're all older, or what?

Don't know the new ones, but great to see the original cast back.

I don't know any of them...

Not even the last three?

Oh snap, Mark Hamill, Harrison Ford and Carrie Fisher will be back!  I knew it, I just knew it!  Ever since VII was announced, I always knew that Luke had to come back as an old Jedi Master, and it looks like it will be possible since Mark will be back!  Han Solo and Leia coming back will be welcome surprises too!  I wonder how their characters will play into the story.  And OMG, Andy Serkis, the actor that played Gollum/Smeagol, will be in Episode VII!  This is just too awesome!  And as for the rest of them, I don't know who they are.  Sorry newbs, I only recognize the old dogs of the movie industry. xD

I'm just going to point out "Leia Solo" here. We're definitely at some point in the likely far future if she married Han (Unless the did in Ep. VI, it's been forever since I saw that one).

Alternate timelines worked for Star Trek because that concept is already a part of every other episode anyway. I hope it doesn't turn into a fallback for JJ like time travel in DDD.

So more likely no Admiral Thrawn, Mara Jade or the Yuuzhan Vong... I guess I can work with that. As long as they don't pull any blasphemy on the Force and all will be alright.

Not even the last three?

Okay I know Harrison Ford...
