...I see Sora and Riku fitting together more than Sora and Kairi?

 

Now, for the record, I'm not Anti-LGBT at all. In fact, I'm in that spectrum myself.

It's just...

 

I mean, They act like they are brothers, but they are not. And it's getting confusing.

 

Sora was so ALL OVER Riku in Dream Drop Distance that it was kinda cringe-worthy.

 

I'm not even that big of a fan of shipping anything or anybody.

 

I mean, is Sora bi or something?

It'll never happen as long as Disney is involved, but I can see what you're getting at. I hug my brother like Sora hugged Riku, though, although hugging around the neck is taking it a bit too far.

Bromance? Maybe Sora is more comfortable doing stuff around Riku than Kairi because....well you know

There are some friends who are closer than others. Sora and Riku are close childhood friends. They know each other since forever. I don't find it surprising for them to act that way. Sora and Kairi are different though, because they like each other in a different way and in their age, well they're just shy. Even though you love someone, it's difficult to show it sometimes. At least it seems that way in KH to me. 

 

I like BL, but I don't like Soriku tbh. It's the same as with Roxas and Axel or Axel and Saix. They're friends and I can't see them as anything else. There's something else you could call it though: bromance~

The Soriku relationship is more developed than sokai. So that tends to take a toll on some people. Well, your not the one who thinks that soo...

and before someone gets on my case sure gay marriage is now allowed in the US but that doesn't mean you should include things like this in a KID'S GAME!!

 

What's the first thing should be told to a kid?Find his significant other or go f*** his brother?

I can really see where you're getting at and I consider it a bit unfortunate that it most likely won't happen due to several factors:

1) Disney's involved.

2) Fans would complain but then again, they would probably complain if SoKai happened...just a theory.

3) Not enough demand for it to happen.

4) Nomura has taken risks before and I applaud him for that...but he probably wouldn't take this one...

5) Those people...the "KH is only for kids and I don't care what you say" people will hate the idea of a gay couple being in the game and in a positive light...damn...

6) Parents who don't read the age rating or the content warning for inappropriate for children content.

7) Anyone saying that SoRiku would work is immediately shot down as "gay" or "firetrucktard" or "Shouldn't have an opinion" etc.

 

I wouldn't mind seeing SoRiku being portrayed in the game and in a positive light and it's quite sad knowing that so many things would prevent it from occurring and it's a damn shame.

Soriku only makes sense if you ignore several major plot points in several games.

 

They are best friends who were pretty much raised as brothers so the hugging and hanging onto him should be expected, people just look to much into it, they just have a strong bromance

But you have to know that not every country has the same cultures and rules as the almighty MURICA!Sure it's acceptable here but in some other countries not so much.You can voice your opinion and I can voice mine

 

Besides,I don't like the thought that a lot of females will be screwed at finding a husband because the dude they were dating decided to marry a guy instead of them

 

Did I also mention that males can't get pregnant btw?Well duh it's obvious,just think about how that would be 10 or 20 years of now

your talking about it like being gay is just a choice, it isn't. Nobody chooses to be gay because nobody would want to knowing the backlash from society. No woman's going to get screwed over by someone deciding to be gay instead. That marriage just isn't happening. even if it did it wasn't because of love, and shouldn't exist.

Adoption is adopting an already born child not reproducing one through marriage

Of course you're allowed to have an opinion, no matter how closed minded it may be.

Nomura tends to expand the game to a wider public, so doing these things with the series would receive lots of critics.. it just don't look like it fits, i can't see that happening hmm

It does make you question that. but you have to realize there are other pairings like that too. Gohan and Piccolo, Heck, Naruto and Sasuke in some aspects. There are just some friends who are that close as friends opposed to someone they find of more interest. but for them to take it to another level in a game that's rated E, impossibility.

1) Why do you have the prefix of "I am not anti-LGBT". Well, obviously you weren't because you accepted the pairing of Sora and Riku. 

2) What's the problem with acting like brothers when they are not?3) More proof that as the games go on Sora turns more and more into a puppy. 0_04) Then don't ship if you don't want to, and conversely you can ship if you want to.5) So far we haven't had any proof that Sora wants to have sex with anyone. He could be asexual for all we know. 

6)He won't stop until you stop taking him seriously.

I think it's mostly because there barely has been any romance in the series, so we start seeing it where there is none. ALTHOUGH I do agree that Sora and Riku do seem to get along pretty well.. But I think that the first sentence of this comment is something we should take to consideration.

Feel free to ship anything you like.

Personally, I'm not a SoRiku-shipper, but I can definitely see your point. But maybe it's as ZOBLIVION said, that people start seeing romance in KH because there barely is any (even between Sora and Kairi, the only canon pairing, that's still not really canon)

And KH also presents friendship as something powerful, even more powerful than love. And we should also remember that love doesn't just mean romantic love. Sora definitely loves Riku, just not romantically, maybe even more than he loves Kairi. As I see it, Riku's almost-a-brother to Sora. But of course, that's just my opinion and everyone is free to think what they like.

 

It's quite the same thing as with Axel and Roxas. There's so much content in the games that points out how much Axel cares for Roxas that many people turn it into romantic love. I did, and well, still do. Though nowadays I don't consider it as canon (and I wouldn't even want it to be).

No. Given the reception I got on a thread I made a while ago, the "bad thing" is to think that KH shouldn't have romance, period.
