I thought it was that we can only use 10% of our brains at a time.  Either way I don't care if we can or can't.

I hate when people don't put dvd's or game discs back in cases.  My Coraline (which was my favourite movie), Beauty and the Beast (Expensive Disney Shit) and Tinkerbelle movies were all ruined by my sister (leaving them just laying everywhere).  I once came downstairs to find a puddle in the floor with torn pages from my Uni jotter and my dvd's laying it.  It's not that damn hard when the cases are left BESIDE the console/player.

I recently come to find it annoying when "beauty gurus" do DIY videos on youtube, for like a custom dresser and it's like

Step 1, get a man, he will sand it, cut it whatever

Step 2, I will just decorate it 'cause I could never go near the big mean saw oh no no no.

It seems like they should either just show themselves decorating the item or, give the first half of the video over to their male so he can give tips on stuff he's doing instead of "my dad did this, my boyfriend did this, my husband did this, my incestuous combination of the previous 3 did this".

Yeah the movie Lucy looked stupid (pretty much the female version of Matrix but with Morgan freeman/freemen's? "Awesome" voice), but thought the full usage of the brain concept was pretty neat but that still didn't make me wanna watch it though.

Wasn't even my little sister, was my older sister ._.'  She's turning 21 soon (and I'm 20).  I let her use my dvd's for her kids, but I kinda expected some care with them

Dvds and stuff just don't seem to matter much to her since she lets them do their own thing with dvds she's bought before, I've learnt my lesson now and since took them all back xD

I hate the people on the Internet who write everything in Japanese characters and are obsessed with everything Japan even though they're clearly American. I once saw a person who went to such lengths to say he was Japanese even though he isnt.

The following assumes you aren't getting annoyed at people on a roleplaying site, or a site devoted to people who are obsessed with Japanese stuff:If they are writing English words in Japanese characters they better be using Katakana!  In my opinion you have to worry when they start to either get into Japanese mysticism or game shows. (both could have scary results) Though just being a Japan fanboy can be pretty bad in its own right. Either way pretenders annoy me. Especially if they act like you TRIED TO DESTROY THEIR VERY SOUL with a backstab, because you found stuff on the internet that proved they were lying.

I agree with others in this thread that mostly English with Japanese thrown in is annoying. Even if I know what they meant, it still is annoying. Though I am not annoyed by Sayonara for some reason.

Along the line of annoying Japanese-esk things people do...think it is funny to randomly swap r/l for no real reason. And then just do it a lot. >.>ENOUGH OF ME TALKING ON JAPAN. I do like some stuff from Japan, and I am more interested in learning Japanese than Spanish, but I really don't like talking about it. And I might not even want to visit Japan ever.

@OP, Yeah it is annoying when movies, tv shows, anything really perpetuates that myth. The myth started either in early neuroscience or from William James saying something along the lines of "That people only meet a fraction of their full mental potential". That statement is arguably true. And someone misquoted(supposedly) it to become "Professor William James of Harvard used to say that the average man develops only ten per cent of his latent mental ability." I would just like the myth to die.

Edit:

I thought it was that we can only use 10% of our brains at a time.  Either way I don't care if we can or can't.

My older brother did/does that leaves disks out of their cases... I don't even understand it... Even before I was 10 I didn't think that was a good idea. D: (But of course I would be lying if I claimed I NEVER EVER left a disc outside of its case)

People do that for DIY videos... T_T That makes me cry a bit on the inside...
