Sora96 17,256 Posted July 31, 2014 For some messed up reason, people, are comparing Japan's Collector's Pack to the English version's Limited Edition release. Let's get this straight. Japan doesn't get a Limited Edition, and the only pre-order bonus they get is a PS3 theme and only if they pre-order from Amazon.co.jp. They do however get a Collector's Pack which costs ¥14,000 (approximately US$136.79) + tax. Other than some shiny packing, what do they get? A Blu-ray Music Disc containing tracks from the series. And Kingdom Hearts Visual Art Collection, a 30 page artbook. Now let's get this straight as well. Remember that artbook we got with HD 1.5 ReMIX? Japan did NOT get it. Also, Square Enix NA are still working on how they will have the HD 2.5 ReMIX Limited Edition packaged. They can still always announce another artbook if they wanted too. Especially since they want it to have a pretty much identical case style to 1.5. And another thing. North America got an 80-page. Yes 80-page, artbook for Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII and a Blu-ray Music Disc for Final Fantasy X/X-2 HD Remaster. Did anyone else get it? No. Did we go crying about it and start movements? No. So in conclusion. Be grateful for what you have. You're finally getting the Final Mixes, you're getting these games fully remastered in HD. And as I said there could still be an artbook. And North America has gotten plenty of amazing things the rest of the world hasn't from Square Enix. So just be grateful, please. 14 Keith Harris, davidude13, Kittenz and 11 others reacted to this

Hargleblargleboo 979 Posted July 31, 2014 (edited) Bless this post. Preach Sora96; Preach! ^This. Also, friendly reminder that the reason the original final mix was made, was because the NA version of the first game had things in it that the Japanese version didn't have. Like fighting Sephiroth and Kurt Zisa for example. (If I remember correctly.) The Transcendent Key 12,109 Posted July 31, 2014 Bro, I couldn't agree with you more. I for one am grateful for the fact that I've gotten the opportunity to play Kingdom Hearts Final Mix, and the fact that I get to play it on my PS3 makes it all the more awesome, and 2.5 is going to be another amazing game to add to my PS3 collection! I'm honestly very psyched for receiving the pin on release day as the pre-order bonus, and even if there wasn't any pre-order bonus, just the fact that I get to have 2.5 is more than enough. I never complain when it comes to Square delivering on Kingdom Hearts. Nomura, God bless you for creating the Kingdom Hearts series, and Sora96, God bless you for being a mature guy about this subject.
Cucco 1,907 Posted July 31, 2014 (edited) agreed. It's just a free little bonus, we can buy these figures and soundtracks separately if we want to. Edited July 31, 2014 by Cucco
Isamu Kuno 2,512 Posted July 31, 2014 (edited) I'm not really all that upset about not getting a collectors pack, but I am bent out of shape about the pin. After seeing the Collectors Edition, it kind of feels like a slap in the face. I would have actually rather we get no bonus at all then that. IDK why, I guess it just kind of feels like they're patronizing us. Edited July 31, 2014 by Isamu_Kuno

RoxasXIIIK 93 Posted July 31, 2014 (edited) If this was because of what I said in my status I was just saying that I think everyone should get the Collector's Edition too.Its not that I'm not grateful that we're finally getting these Final Mixes cause I really am. I just think certain game packages shouldn't be exclusive to one country. That's all I was really trying to say. chrisora2066 26 Posted July 31, 2014 JAPAN GETS ALL THESE LIMITED EDITION GOD DAMN SYSTEMS!!! LOOK AT IT LOOK AT IT LOOK AT IT LOOK AT IT LOOK AT IT!! I rest my case Okay I see where your coming from... But keep in mind they still had to pay for those system. What about the FREE preorder bonus' that North America (and sometimes Europe and Australia) has been getting? The pin is another FREE pre order bonus, the Japanese fans had to pay extra for an artbook, a sample CD soundtrack(the full one will probably be released at some point), 1.5 and a figure (which is also being sold seperatly from what I remember)

Totaltarian67 7 Posted July 31, 2014 agreed. It's just a free little bonus, we can buy these figures and soundtracks separately if we want to. but we can't it is japan only and that's what this whole thing is about. The fact that Japan gets something shiny we don't get. Makes u think favoritism to me

VeNate13 144 Posted August 1, 2014 I agree people should probably not compare the two as if they are two equal things, but it still feels discriminating that they get the game first and they get the option to get the collectors edition and we have to wait, and avoid spoilers, and we don't get that option to get the cooler version! It just like the final mixes all over again!
