I think at the start of Kingdom Hearts 3 we will be starting at the main Island of Destiny Islands, this is where we will see Sora's mum. Final Fantasy characters such as Selphie, Tidus and Wakka. But this time they are all grown up. Sora has to prepare himself for his final adventure, but this time Kairi will be joining the fight as she has been taught how to wield a keyblade.

 

Locations of the main Island of Destiny Islands

 

The Mayor's house - this is where Kairi was brought up, when her world was lost to darkness, the mayor found kairi on Destiny Islands and adopted her as his own, he is known as Dad to Kairi

The Main Destiny Islands town square - has a parade each year, also has it's own shops

Destiny Islands theme park

Destiny Islands steam train - that looks like the one from Dumbo

Sora's house - this is where we will meet Sora's mum

The beach

Riku's Hide out - we will see more of where riku likes to go to and more of his friends

 

and the small island which we saw in Kingdom Hearts 1

Awesome ideas, I would really like to see more of the city in Destiny Island and I really hope that the times during the day changes too, for example there would be morning, sunset and night.

Who knows in KH3 Destiny Islands beach may be much more extensive and with more people like in ffxiii-2.

I doubt we'll see Sora's mum.  She's not important enough to be worth the cost of creating. I like the other ideas bar the theme park, just 'cause it seems really out of place to suddenly chuck a theme park down on a little Island.  

Parents aren't important in Kingdom Hearts so we won't be seeing Sora's mom. EVER.Personally I think it'll start with Yen Sid's tower with Yen Sid going all "alrighty then, Kairi and Lea are fully trained, now everyone huddle up and listen to another one of my not-so-great plans"

Hmm, this sounds interesting! Who knows what surprises Nomura has in store for us concerning Destiny Islands? I for one, would be more than happy visiting the mainland! I'm sure it's just as enchanting as the island where Sora and friends played!

Yeah um just let me traverse around what Normura Sensei creates and ill be fine...

So, in theory, his mom forgot she even had a kid. 

So even after he came back to the islands, she might not have remembered him.

Just my though, cause you'd think she'd have the police combing the islands for him after KH. 

Karir probably wouldn't have said anything for fear of being considered insane, so maybe she went into a panic, and was told he died or something, and a year later she is a bitter woman still mourning her child when he shows back up for no reason. 

Well I just hope you can travel to the Islands instead of just being in ther like in Kingdom Hearts and then never returning there I actually want to explore the place I like your idea but a theme park might be a little maybe not a parade or fair type thing is cool though.

 

I don't see it starting there but I just hope you can go their if not then why the hell can't we visit Destiny Islands I just want to go home!!

I think visiting the houses would work as a place to save/find chests, maybe were SRK plan something, idk.

 

Personally, I imagine the houses not having anyone inside, It wouldn't be worth it to model their parents, maybe just place a note or suggest that they were lost when DI fell/became heartless. I'm cruel, I know. The mayor's house could have stuff similar to the castle in Radiant Garden. The mayor could play a role in the story of the world/give you an item.

What are you on about? Everyone that forgot Sora while he slept had their memories of him restored at the beginning of Kingdom Hearts II. Everyone.

 

I have stated this numerous times before but personally, I would love to see Destiny Islands as a full-fledged playable world, and not like in Kingdom Hearts and Chain of Memories; I want an actual world that we can explore to the maximum and with many features. This means I want the play island as well as the main island.

 

I've had a few ideas as to what areas should be available to us players. The play island should remain the same, or even have another secret side to it. As for the main island, I was thinking of having a layout similar to Twilight Town or Hollow Bastion/Radiant Garden. So maybe we could have: 

• a marketplace/plaza where items and weapons can be purchased
• a residential area with hidden chests scattered throughout around the houses and stuff
• the volcano made climbable (I think it would be pretty cool )
• the Mayor's house (I didn't have this initially but I agree)
• a small amount of forestry for extra exploration (combined with the volcano area at the base perhaps?)

That pretty much sums up what my ideas are. Kingdom Hearts III will be on the PS4/XboxOne so I don't see why this shouldn't be attainable.
