I'm sorry, what just happened?

Posted

Over half an hour ago, KH13 user Ratchet -- real name Jonathan Timm-Doerflinger -- was claimed to have passed away this morning due to a heart attack. He's mother was apparently the one to deliver us this grave news through using her son's account. Users began to mourn and gave their farewells to this tragic and sudden death. Now, every single trace of that ever happening is gone. The thread created, gone. The post made on "I want to change my username" & "I want to delete my account", gone. Any other status updates supposedly made by his mother, gone. The user however still exists and has not been deleted as it was requested.

I personally found this entire situation suspicious. I looked up his name and found this: http://www.theeternalportal.com/tributes/jonathan-timm/. Apparently this same guy died for over a year ago as well, and according to one of his seven Facebook accounts he's been shown to still be alive since then.

What I'm wondering is what really happened? Everything is gone. The thread dedicated to his death and any comments made outside of it; everything is just gone. I'm for now classifying this whole situation as total bullshit. As I already mentioned he claimed to also have died back in March 2013. Also, when your son dies I highly doubt the first thing any mother would do is inform the people on some website that his son was active on. So was there someone messing with Ratchet's user, or is this some shit he does regularly? I'm glad he's not dead but to whoever doing this; joking about stuff like this is just sick and cruel. Faking someones or your own death for whatever reasons is just unacceptable.

If he's really dead -- which I highly doubt -- then that is of course just terrible. But until further updates on this event; do anybody else here have some other information that either confirms or disconfirms his death?

I don't even know :/Sora93 is Ratchet

As firetrucked up as I personally think this entire thing was/is (especially that website) I just say let it go. He has a history with this type of stuff but whatever. Let him be him

Or he's a ghost

I wish you said that before I wrote out that entire spiel

The fact his "mother" somehow knew how the site worked well enough to go around making statuses and liking and replying to comments and all that hoo-ha seemed like a dead giveaway for me. Seriously, took me like 3 days to figure out how to do all that stuff.

Or maybe I'm just stupid?

Lol, nah.

Well I checked his profile, and everything in his, "About Me" is cleared off (assuming he had one) but his avatar is also gone as well. It's hard to determine if this is legitimate, it's 50/50.

There's three variables we must consider in order to determine this. First, it wouldn't make sense for him to leave the site. No one's been giving him a hard time, and he seems to be enjoying it here so we should scratch that one off UNLESS something must've developed that could've caused him to leave. Second, there's a high possibility that either he was hacked or he has done this out of boredom, BUT if it was out of boredom, then why is his full name, and picture posted on a website? Perhaps the website is fake? What also complicates things, is if he's in fact dead, then why is his portrait a recent photo that might've been posted? You would assume that his portrait would've been his earliest youth or a collogue of his entire life. And lastly, the time of death. Does it corresponds with his recent activities? And also when was his information posted on the website?

Theres many variables to investigate whether it's true or false.

What's scary is that for all we knew, there could've been many other users that might be dead but we just don't know of it. Hell it might be the users we miss dearly, so if nothing develops in the next 48 hours, we shall assume the worse and mourn.

So far no one has pointed out the possibility that his mom is addicted to killing him off on websites.

And of course there is a chance that he really died, but it seems weird...

This memorial website was created in the memory of our beloved Jonathan Timm-Doerflinger who was born in Mlwaukee on 12th March 1989 and passed away on 10th March 2013, 23 years of age."Jonathan was a sweet young man who had a bright future, it's just sad that he passed away two days before his birthday." Jonathan passed away on March 10, 2013 from a heart attack.

Welp. That says that.

I won't go after him and harass him or anything. I just want some clarity. However, I do strongly believe that people that pull bullshit like this shouldn't get let of the hook so easily.

You've got a point there. She found the "username and deletion" thread quite easily.

I'm willing to bet Ratchet either does in fact have a friend who is messing with their account, or Ratchet just does these things out of boredom or due to bipolar tendencies

I'm gonna go with it being him doing it until further evidence. It's very easy to blame things on a "friend" when things get uncomfortable

As someone pointed out, it's strange who easily the mother navigated her way through the forums.

I don't see any reasons for why someone would hack him. In the link I provided it is said that he died in March 2013 but when browsing through his various Facebook accounts, he's shown to have been last active as of 15th of August, 2014.

I've also from time to time wondered whether some users on here have disappeared due to death. I remember one user in particular that I admired back in 2010 that suddenly just stopped posting. No goodbyes, no nothing.

Just ignore his stunts guys.

I admit that I'm curious as well, but maybe we should just let it be guys...

You shouldn't feel bad about it. You did what you naturally would have done upon being informed about the death of a fellow comrade. :)

I'm starting to feel like an idiot for falling for it :I

it means you have a conscience

Don't worry about this..  He's fine.
