Why KH3 will likely release before any games Noruma has planned until 2019

Posted

Kingdom Hearts 3 is highly anticipated and has been in the "early stages of development" for quite a few years. Put yourself in Noruma's shoes, you've got one amazing game (FFXV) hopefully sometime next year that will make you tons of money, Kingdom Hearts 3 has most of your attention at the moment, and you've got some games planned at the moment (could be related to KH or FF but that's unconfirmed). I'm not sure whether Noruma left the FFXV project willingly or not, if he did leave it willingly he knows that Kingdom Hearts 3 is vey important to fans, its progressing on schedule and is now on Unreal Engine 4, that will speed up the process and make things run smoother. If he was ordered to go work on Kingdom Hearts 3, then I don't think who ever ordered him to leave would be ok with him just working on his new projects and leaving Kingdom Hearts 3 alone again.

I don't know guys, lets have a discussion, agree with me or not (Sora96, lol man) I'd like to see your thoughts, will we see Kingdom Hearts 3 after Noruma releases his other titles onto PS4 or Xbox One? Also I think I might start making YouTube videos like HMK or TheGamersJoint, Kingdom Hearts News, Speculations, other videos.

2016 is a great year, Noruma would be crazy to wait any further than that.

That 2019 is for Kingdom hearts 4 or someting hahaha

Now that you mention it, I wonder what Nomura will put in-between KHIII and KHIV...

Probaly nothing? Kh3 is the end Of the current Saga.

Yes, but wouldn't it feel wierd to have a numbered title right after the other when we always had something between them?

Kingdom Hearts Speculation! 3.5! Kingdom Hearts 3, BBS Vol. 2, 3D, and KHx! 2019 JK LOL

Late 2017 is my bet (being optimist here). He kept his promise way longer than i thought.

Im expecting KH3D HD next year and nothing in 2016.

But since most people are waiting for KH3 since a long time, a simulateneous world release would be cool (doubt it gonna happen though)

It's gonna come out way before that, no need to worry about that, it will come out when it is ready to.  Like you said and like Nomura said the game is progressing on schedule so no need to worry, as much as I would like this game to come out ASAP, there are other games I would like to play first before hand (Plus I need to get the system that it is coming out on as well).  I have been saying for a while now that Kingdom Hearts 3 will most likely come out in 2016 and I really hope it dose.  The whole Nomura wanting to release a Kingdom Hearts game is a fine but he never promised that, it has just been working that way since 2008.  Now I don't know if we are gonna get a KH game in 2015 or not, as a matter of fact I hope we don't just so they can have more focus on Kingdom Hearts 3.  Nomura said he didn't want to announce Kingdom Hearts 3 when they did back in E3 2013 because he didn't think it was ready yet, and I kinda wish he didn't as well, if he announced at E3 this year it probably would've been better.  Right now Kingdom Hearts 3 isn't even on my radar for games because there is almost nothing being shown about it but a few demo takes and one little teaser, but we shall see if they say anything at Jump Festa this year but I have a feeling that Kingdom Hearts 3 will make a big impact next year and be the main focus they will show at gaming events once Final Fantasy XV is closer to being done, which I hope that is coming out sometime next year either late 2015 or early 2016

I think the dream drop distance hd remake will release in 2015, kingdom hearts 3 in 2016

If on the announcement KH3 was in "early stages of development", even if they've been glancing at it (since 2010 I believe it was?) it doesn't just go from "Early stages" to "vast amount developed" over a few months.  Just 'cause he's focusing on it now doesn't mean it's gonna speed up the usual development process, especially if they're going to try and make this a good game instead of a rushed pile of garbage because "Wah I've been waiting since blah, even though there's KH games that've been released since KH2's release I still like saying a big number for when I complain so it seems more justified wah".

Like if people wanted KH3 because it progresses from KH2, they're actually looking for Re:Coded and DDD.  Not KH3.

On point though KH3 is meant to be his main priority, that doesn't mean anything though in terms of when it'll be released, his other games could require less work, KH3 could hit development hell like FF Versus.  Additionally Nomura never made any promise to release a game a year, it was a fan assumed notion that takes international, remakes, remasters and final mix releases as separate games, and it only works out as such if you count the releases from Days onwards, and that's more of a streamlined development situation where localizing has been optimized and the limited amount of work you can do on a handheld means less work can be done on them. It took 2 years for COM to come out after KH1, it took 3 years for Days to come out after KH2 (granted coded for Mobile was out in 2008, but that wasn't released world wide).  Honestly unless we knew the stage they're at now and their general rate of progress per day (which will be slow) we can't accurately predict when it'll come out other than just throwing numbers we like out there.

We don't deserve anything.  We are not entitled to dictate the games that are coming out from SE or the time in which they should come out, nor should we expect this from any company.  We should be grateful that we know KH3 won't be the end, not expecting things like we're the all controlling Game God.   As long as people yap about waiting for KH3, we've been getting tons of KH games in he mean time leading up to it, filling in gaps and progressing the story from KH2, just 'cause there's no number doesn't mean they're not important so I don't see why people actually hold numbered titles as the holy grail simply for having a number in their title.  Considering there's games in between KH1 to KH2 and KH2 to KH3 I can't see why they would suddenly miss out on the opportunity to do the same.

I was pumping gas in my car while thinking about KH3 and the exact change came to $20.16. There's your answer.

Thats really inexpensive gas! But I'm thinking 2016 as well ^_^

this is just my opinion, but i think a side story of sora, riku and kairi. not necessarily part of the next saga but what their life is like between the first and second saga. The secret movie can hint to the next one but idk lol id like to see a casual game thats not part of any story tbh its nice to change the pace a bit lol :P

A party game for KH! Like a small spin-off (an actual spin-off). I think it'd be pretty silly and fun. We dun really need a story in between the 3 and 4, we more so just need a relaxing, kick back and enjoy it kind of experience. It could end up doing pretty well. Unfortunately, Square's not really known for that. Then again, they've just collaborated with Koei Techmo to make Dragon Quest Warriors. Might as well run something like that with KH or something. That'd be pretty cool, considering the Warriors games are fun to play in the first play.

it will probably assume that that it will be announced in late 2016 and released 2017. also he knows everyone wants this game so putting it on pause is a bad idea.@NMicheal

Okay so contrary to the thread title, you did not provide us with any clandestine knowledge to lead us into believing that the game will release before 2019, just some opinions. What's fairly obvious is that Nomura is still having difficulty creating a single sketch (proof of this in the trailer from last year which was basically KH2 running on a much better engine). It definitely won't come out in 2019 though, maybe final mix will.

I seriously think that Kingdom Hearts III will come out in 2017, because by then, the game will have been four years in development!  Plus, 2017 will be the 15th Anniversary of the Kingdom Hearts series, so there's also that to consider!  My guess on the table is that the game will release in 2017, and not a year later! :3

2017 is most likely.

Ill say 2016, at least for japanese release (others might get early half of 2017 release). Numbered titles have always took 2-3 years when theyve been in development. But well, rushing a game everyones so hyped for and having high hopes for would end up them making a bad game
