Joking aside, am I the only one who thinks that Aqua could (potentially)  be up there? I know she's strong, but there's no way you can wander the Darkness for 12+ years, and still be mentally sound.

and no we saw aqua a year after the events of kingdom hearts 2. She is fine, Sora will get her out of the realm of darkness before the final fight takes place. or the final fight is in the realm of darkness, one of the two

The twist is that at the beginning of KH2 xehanort already took control of yen sid, he has been in the dark side all along. he knew the cloths helped the orginazation track sora he just wantedto see what sora could do before he has to face him. 

Merge the legs and hands of Xehanort to get Xehanordia!!! Now he could easily end the story by one attack.
