Have you ever gotten a console/handheld mainly to play a KH game?

 

In previous polls, it was stated that quite a few people in the past bought DS/PSP mainly to play a KH game. Now, with the HD collections, we would to know if you are one of these people, and if you are, if you have any regrets.

I already owned my handhelds before buying kh games for them, so no.

PSP, PS3, DS, 3DS

 

Of course those systems all have great titles besides KH, examples being Crisis Core and Fire Emblem Awakening

Nah! I generally don't buy a console for one game even if I would of really liked to.

PSP and 3DS. Well, I already kinda wanted a 3DS because of other games, mainly Pokemon but I got it when I did only because of KH.

 

As for PSP, I never wanted one at all, I thought it was stupid but as soon as BBS came out I wanted one and the PSP is actually my favorite handheld. I only bought it for BBS and I didn't regret it at all.

 

As for consoles, I got a PS2 just for Kingdom Hearts, but I do play other games on it too.

 

I'm going to try and get myself a PS3 (even though I have a PS4) just for the Remixes, however if they somehow become playable on the PS4 in some way I won't get the PS3

I got my PSP mostly to play BBS, but I had some other reasons, too. I had also originally planned to get a PS3 back when everyone thought KHIII would be on there, but when I did more research, I actually found a lot of other games I wanted, so I can't really say I bought a PS3 just for KH.

Not really. I mean, back when KHIII was still further in development limbo than it is now, I used to one of those people that thought III would come to the PS3.

 

But now that its come to the PS4, I'm not exactly ready to jump ship yet.

Yeah! 3DS and PS3. I actually already had PSP when BBS came out I barely played on it, so it made me happy when BBS came out to actually have a new game to play on it.

No, not for KH. Had a PS2 and PS3 long before I got into KH.

3DS was for Pokemon since the DS was pretty much done and my DS Lite was broken.

So... what should I answer? Cause I didn't buy a new console just for KH. I had a PS2, DS and I wanted a 3DS before the game was announced. And my brother happened to buy a PSP. So I played all games, and I don't even have the HD remakes yet.

ps4 for kh3. sure i love to play its other games but kh3 is the main reason i got it! cant wait till its released!

Bought my Ps3 because of KH3 hype wayyy back when. Bought my 3DS mainly for KH3D, but I also wanted OoT3D and a few others.

Nope - I never buy a console or handheld just for one game. 

Haha, I remember getting the PSP just for Birth By Sleep, and I enjoyed the heck out of it!  And, with time, my PSP collection grew, and I have a few games for it, which is awesome!  And I also got the 3DS at around 2011, so I'd be ready for KH3D, and in the meantime, I played Ocarina Of Time 3D, lol.  But yeah, overall, I haven't had any regrets whatsoever!

I've actually done that thrice. I had a PSPgo, so when I heard Birth by Sleep would only be released in UMD, I sold it and bought a normal PSP, and so far that's the only game I still own. I also bought a PS3 back on 2009, believing that KHIII would soon release on it and it never did. Fortunately, that got me into PlayStation again!

 

I did it one last time with my Nintendo 3DS, it was my main reason to get one. So far, it also has been my favorite 3DS game, along with A Link Between Worlds. =)

I would gladly buy another console again just for a KH title...

I got a PSP.  I regret nothing.

Nope, for the most part I already had the console, the PSP I never bought, and I got the PS3 for KH, Tales of, and Persona 5.

I got a PSP pretty much just to play BBS.

 

It broke after 5-6 months.

I knew a 3DS would be a good investment once they announced the XL; I don't touch their handhelds until that second iteration. But since it coincided with KH3D releasing, it seemed like a good choice.

Well I`ve got Psp first to play Final Fantasy Dissidia and Duodecim .and Crisis core FFVii. and of course. Kingdom Hearts Birth by sleep(The Origin) not the Final mix version. and then 3Ds only because i wanted to play 358/ 2 days ,Re-coded. and dream drop distance.maybe i Would get my hands on PS 3 to play the final mix version of Kingdom Hearts 1.

I never buy any console for just one game, but KH has been a deciding factor in getting a PS3 (I used to think it was a sure thing KH3 would be released before the PS4- but then the HD ReMixes came out, so it worked out anyway) and a 3DS (for both DDD and Re:Coded, as my DS had already crapped out).
