Not particularly the character, but the 2005 game

I'm gathering opinions for a video, specifically on what people think would make the game better

oh and before you show the world how witty and clever you are by making the very original joke of saying that it shouldn;'t get made, or should be replaced with a better game

keep your dignity

Honestly, I don't care what anyone says, I actually enjoyed the game when I was a kid. I mean, the Evil route was a bit troublesome, but I thought the True Hero route was great. The final boss was pretty cool too and the best thing about the game was probably it's sound track.

Its not the worst thing ever,but its definitely one of my least favorite Sonic game,to me its playable,but it could have been a lot better.To make the game better,instead of having all those tedious missions about killing aliens and Gun soldiers over and over they should have made alternate pathways for each missions,but even then that's not saying much because the controls are a bit awkward and the level design is not that great.

It really isn't as bad as most people say- it's sure as hell a lot better than either Heroes or 06. It's like someone tried to fuse Ratchet & Clank and Sonic and just couldn't quite figure out how to do it most of the time.

 

As for ways to improve it, I'd say take out vehicles entirely, they add almost nothing to the gameplay and usually just serve to slow you down; make guns easier to aim and don't freeze him in midair when firing continuously, those are more things that slow it down way too much; most importantly, make levels replayable! It's infuriating that I had to do the same 2 or 3 levels at the beginning of each moral path just to get to the levels I hadn't already done, and if I liked a level, the design makes it almost a guaranteed chore to go back and play it again. Also, 10 "final" boss fights is way too many, especially since they copy/paste them in different scenarios- 5 would have been more than enough. Also also, those missions where you have to chase a thing and destroy it before it escapes (the alien monster, the president's ship, Eggman's ship, etc.)? firetruck those, hate 'em, worst missions ever.

I liked the branching paths system, but honestly all of the 3D sonic games before Colors just kinda suck. The only reason Shadow stands out is because of how "edgy" he is, along with how the game comes off as way too tryhard to make a dark and gritty storyline in a series about anthropomorphic animals that collect rings.Sega just tried too hard to appeal to its 8th-graders-with-a-deviantart-account fanbase.

It was a good game but then again I was like 9 LOL

I don't care what people say about that game. I enjoy Sonic the Hedgehog 06, the soundtrack was awesome, the gameplay was good, the characters were great, sure a few bugs but no biggie, and the story was good in my opinion. 

Ditch the weapons and vehicles.

 

Ditch the forced edginess.

 

Ditch the slippery controls.

 

Ditch the slowing down to make sure you don't kill one of the two types of folks who want to kill you.

 

Ditch the Shado-- no, wait, he can stay. But the rest goes.

They should've just made it less edgy, because imo although the edgy factor does work, they used too much.

 

Guns should go. They just put it in there for the hardcore factor. If anything, just add a few guns.

 

Levels are a chore. Don't make someone restart the whole level just to find that one computer disk. It's so annoying I can't

 

Shadow should FIND THAT DAMN FORTH CHAOS EMERALD

 

In terms of curses, they could have like one or two but in the game it's obvious that they put it in there for once again, the "edge."

 

In terms of story, I'd say keep the alternate endings and what not, however make a cannon ending where Shadow isn't an android or part alien... Blech then again this part is just my view but if anything drop the android part. They don't really need that much endings for Shadow, especially since it's so tedious get.

 

I also say Shadow should act more like he did in Adventure 2. In Adventure he had a much more meaningful personality. It's still the same kinda, however the "edge emo" emphasis they put on Shadow kinda is meh. I still love him though.

 

I would say much more but sadly I have to go to bed so eh I may continue this.

The controls could be way better tbh

 

And the braching story was completely unnecessary, only 1 story is canon, so why should we care about the other stories?

Like............aside from the soundtrack(which is a given when it comes to Sonic),there is absolutely no redeeming quality in this game
