The Norts' chances of survival going into the next saga

Featured Replies

I personally think that Young Xehanort and Xigbar are going to become traitors.  Braig's been sneaky since BBS, and YN  acts like he has his own agenda. The Lights won't have to do much to shake the morale of the Darknesses, true betrayal is gong to come from within. Just watch!

Pretty much agree with you there. I'd like it if Braig had some future role, and I can see him weasel his way out of trouble. I am pretty sure that Vanitas is not gonna make it, with him being evil incarnate and all. To be an anti-hero, you have to be at least 1% good I think, and Vanitas seems more like a guy who eats puppies for breakfast.

things have to go exactly as planned in KH3, not only is there some destiny bollocks going on

but it's also the conclusion we're promised, and it can't happen any other way

so no traitors, just lasers

and inevitably lots of defeated norts

How about KH3 ends and all the villains die and stay dead and there is no new saga? I'd like a nice conclusive ending instead of a sequel hook for a change.

Braig makes complete sense but why would Xehanort betray himself?

You clever little sneak .

It would be amazing if the norts did survive, but they came back with good intentions in the next game and help Sora beat the new threat or give him valuable information on the powers of darkness.

I don't believe that Isa will survive.

Vanitas won't die because he will probably become a good person. I can imagine that in the end his heart will merge with Sora's heart (as a way to deal with the darkness) or Ventus' heart (where he originally came from and where he will find peace).

Vanitas is not pure evil, but pure darkness. That's a difference. Xehanort influenced him negatively, but from the very beginning he wasn't evil.

Okay, that's true, but the Unversed - negativity taken shape - flow from him. He may not be pure evil then, but at least he's kind of a downer. And what we have seen from Vanitas does not indicate any good intention whatsoever. He is after all, Master Xehanort's creation, so for someone made of pure darkness to betray his creator (who is also a big fan of darkness himself), it would take one hell of a change of heart.

I'm not ruling it out, I'm just saying it's not as likely.

Nope nope nope nope nope soooooooooooooooo much nope, that would completely destroy the reputation of Xehanort being an evil force.

Well, I haven't given much thought to this, since I'm assuming that all the Darknesses will die in Kingdom Hearts III, but I could see Isa possibly surviving...but he's way too neck deep in the darkness, and there's a very slim chance he can be saved. As for Braig, one never knows completely what's inside his head, so he may miraculously make it out of this alive as well!  But, who knows? :O

Vanitas has a chance of survival, more so then some, but less so then Isa I'd personally say. Vanitas's story suggests him to be sort of tragic in a way, but he's never done much to redeem himself, and there has been no proof as of yet that confirms that Vanitas is only the way that he is because of being raised by Xehanort. His status as a kid, being connected to Ventus, and being a fan favorite might help, may lead to him surviving. Agreeing with the poster, I can see him becoming an antihero, I doubt he'll be completely redeemed if ever.

Isa on the other hand was shown to be a completely regular kid with no malice whatsoever if not a bit snarky. That was the only thing we ever saw/and knew of Isa before he met his fate. Saïx is quite problematic, but it's been confirmed that like Xigbar and Terra, that he has nort-influences, suggesting that he's tragic considering his completely innocent behavior before. We do not know a lot about Isa however, and it's completely possible that he himself chose his fate/ could have had more antagonistic qualities then what was brought to the surface. It's just not incredibly likely considering Kingdom Heart's tendency to make a problematic characters' traits very obvious from the surface. Ex. Riku's bad sides were shown from the get go before falling into darkness. Is it possible Isa is much more antagonistic or problematic then previously shown?  Absolutely. Is it probable? Ehhhhh. As a result, Isa has a higher chance of being 'saved'. But he could still totally die.

Both can survive, both can die. We'll just have to wait and see :)

lmao!!! how about a flop then. he helps them only to tear them apart to completely destroy themmm yess he has now regained his badassness or he just plays sora to awaken most greatest darkness... which actually makes sense i wonder if sora will become dark in kh3, if you think about it he has a great light so shouldn't the shadow be even greater owww i cant wait!!!!!
