    • Only once; it was easy!
      11
    • 2-4 times. Struggled at first but learnt from mistakes
      34
    • 5-10 times. This was frustratingly hard, but was exhilarated when I finally defeated the Phantom

I think about 2-4 times. Dont remember the first time I fought him exactly. Fun fight tho, I really enjoy it.

I never tried and am probably never going to. I don't have that kind of patience.

2-4 times, for me. I think the first two times I kept running out of MP (I did stock up on ethers and whatnot), but I got him afterwards.

The first time I had a guide xD so it wasn't too hard

First time? Once. Though I had a better handle on the game at the time and I was on a really high level.

Second time? It felt like foreverAnd I was in the 80s. THE 80s!!!

I think about 4 tries. It's not too difficult once u learn it's moves, stock up on ethers and use the appropriate magic.

Another option:

I never bothered to try

Only Once.  All You Have To Do Is Use The STOPRA Command On The Clock At The Start And Whenever The Phantom Moves In Front Of The Clock.  Plus, Have Goofy In Your Party.  It Takes About 10 Minutes....  If You're Quick, You Will NEVER Have To Worry About The Number(s) Appearing Over Peter Pan's Head.

A couple of tries. I read over a few guides and devised my "own" strat of beating the Phantom.

Peace!

When I faced the Phantom the first time, it took me about four tries to beat him!  I didn't even know what I had to do to beat him, and since he would off my party members with his countdown attack, that put pressure on me! xD  But, as soon as I noticed I could stop the clock with Stopra, I did so, and then I noticed that the changing colors of the orb the Phantom had reflected the elements that could be used to damage it! Once I had that figured out, I made sure to stock on Ethers and at least two Elixirs, and after that, it was smooth sailing from then on out! :D

Phantom isn't so much difficult as it is tedious.

I haven't even finished the game yet.

2-4 times, I want to say 3 total. Once to learn the pattern, once to amp up the reflexes, then one to put that all into practice. Maybe an extra one to figure out the best spell shortcuts to keep. Compared to other secret bosses, Phantom is pretty easy, but fun!

FIRETRUCK THAT PHANTOM

UUURGH

It's a bit harder in proud mode, but on standard I was able to beat it after 2-4 tries (about the same in proud mode, as I already knew how to defeat it).

I beat him on my first try on proud mode. He is really easy in my opinion. Cast stop on clock, attack orb with magic/attack that corresponds to its color. Simple.

It was more of a problem that I didnt know how to fight the boss

After I learned, it took about 4 times

I did it within about 3 or 4 tries. It was pretty straightforward for me.

Honestly, I don't know how I beat him in the past without aero. I only recently discovered aero and it's usefulness. It made it easier, but still probably the second or third hardest boss in the game.
