Posted July 25, 201510 yr I'm leaning towards "awful" but it'll probably be pretty bad. the HD remasters were loading PS2 games and they had loading screens up to a minute
July 25, 201510 yr BloodBorne has a godawful loading time. However, Nomura said in a interview that one of the things he'd like to focus on was the reduction of load time.
July 26, 201510 yr Nomura's making it sound too ambitious for me to think it'll be any better than the HD ReMixes. Given how much he's said about open flowing worlds and few loading screens, it might be a Too Human situation, where there are a few obscenely long loading screens that make Sonic 06 look reasonable but then huge chunks of gameplay that just work perfectly with no extra loading required; I think I might be okay with that.

Optimization might make the number smaller, on the other hand, the full game will have more content to load, things like character stats and equipment, side quests, and most likely content of higher quality than what was in episode duscae Now episode duscae has hours of content, so a roughly two minute load time for that isn't all that bad But what about KH One, KH games being abridged Disney stories tend to have drastically different, unconnected areas so that they can cover the key moments in the story, so I doubtthe entire world is seemless but also what about the fact that it's split into worlds? Even just fast travelling in Episode Duscae has a decent loading time. What happens when you're hopping to different worlds around the end game? Suddenly a two minute loading screen becomes a lot more intrusive
July 26, 201510 yr Considering Square's history and the fact that quite a lot of PS4 Games have God awful Loading Times e.g: Bloodborne, Mortal Kombat X and so on, I imagine they'll be PRETTY bad. Seriously. Especially considering the team who are working on it also made the ReMIX's with their WOEFUL loading times and...Drive Transformation Times...*shudders* I have little faith in the Osaka Team. And Square for Loading Times. The former for a lot more than just that.
July 26, 201510 yr I think the only load times we'll see in the game are for getting in and out of worlds, getting into mini-games, and the transition from gameplay to cutscenes, ya know?
July 31, 201510 yr Load times? There are no seams so load times should be pretty close to nonexistent. Besides, why think so negatively? I can't stand it when people think negatively.

I can't stand it when people think negatively. the game has to load, that's just how it is, so "no load times" isn't practical Why think negatively? Because someone has to consider the possibilities, lest people be pulled in too far by marketing and hype it helps with enjoying things, too, since low expectations means I get to be pleasantly surprised when things actually work
