We shouldn't be worried about that now. Kingdom Hearts III isn't even out yet.

Unchained is already the "remake" of Chi. So I see no point.

If they want to remake Chi it would come in the 2.9 Game.

 

But personally I don't think they will Remake/ReMix Chi. Because The purpose of 1.5 and 2.5 (And 2.9?) is that the people can play all the KH-games on one console. But because Unchained Chi is playable on a Smartphone it won't be an issue to be unable to play it because Everybody has a Smartphone.

There won't be a 3.1. 2.9 could be BbSV2 and Unchained X.

The whole series has references to online features/themes. Re:Coded/Re:Chain of Memories? BBS (Bulletin Board System)?

3.1 is really just KH3 Final Mix, and there's a 99% chance that it will happen. Any chance of a KH3 HD remake will happen years and years later. Possibly two console generations from now. And instead of 3.1, it might be 3.5. Why think about it now, though?

In that case, you're saying 3.1 would be a DLC expansion? I'm sure Final Mix would only have just a couple more hours of game time. Itd be impractical these days to make KH3 then KH3 Final Mix afterwards.

I wouldn't think that KH3D would be released alone otherwise they could've just named it KH3D HD Remastered. Besides, having KH3D alone won't be enough for a PS3 game or even a PS4 game

That's not true. not everyone does. 

But it's not likely they'll redo Chi anyway.
