Hey folks, just got off from from interwebs digging. Just so no one freaks out I wanted to inform you all that if you see a 2017 Release Date it is fake. There is no date yet but someone trolled saying it's 2017 because of game engine switching. True, the game machine switch did slow them down but no confirmed source said 2017.

To expand, based off Nomura's one KH game a year policy...

 

End of this year: Unchained X Hopefully, anyhow.

 

2016: Kingdom Hearts 2.8. Which will be awesome.

 

2017: Kingdom Hearts 3? Unless Nomura releases a new game this year, this is the most likely date.

I consider all re-issues of KH games not an actual game. Unless it's Final Mix which completely changes multiple things in a game not just adding a secret ending. And Mobile games can kind of be considered games though I see them as mini-games.

 

Fun Fact though: You can google Kingdom Hearts 3 and then on the right you can pre-order it and I was on Best Buy website and you can see a synopsis of the games main story and what you will do. I hope it isn't too far off being as I saw that but if it is then oh well.

I'm just hoping it gets a 2017 release, at the earliest.

Of course 2017 has not been confirmed, but with HD2.8 for next year, one can assume that 2017 is a likely year.

2017 is the most likely at this point, as they have been working on it for a while now. 2018 is the latest we can hope for. So 2017 is not a rumour, but an assumption.

Remember when we were all convinced it was 2015. Then we were absolutely positive it was 2016. Now we're bookin 2017. I'm not sold yet.

Saying that they were slowed down makes it sound like there was any chance that the game would come in 2016. Late 2017 will be the earliest this one can be released.

2017 makes the most sense. With 2.8 next year and Nomura saying KH3 will be the next game after 2.8, 2017 is the most likely year and its also the kingdom hearts 15th aniversary.

I actually think 2017 is a pretty good release year for Kingdom Hearts III, as the series celebrates its 15th Anniversary!  What better way to celebrate than to release Kingdom Hearts III!?  So yeah, I truly do think 2017 is the best release year Square could pick for the game!
