I probably would play. I have played chess before, but I'll need to be taught and shown what's different about the one Eraqus and Xehanort played.

Absolutely!! Those pieces are awesome. Im actually hoping that it gets released as part of a collectors edition or something

but then at the same time I feel like that when one piece goes down, someone is defeated in real life or maybe dead

Hell yeah! When I first saw that chess board, all I can think of was, "I want that chess board SO badly!" Y'know, besides, "Oh my God Oh my God Oh my God Oh my God Oh my God Oh my God!!!"

Gives me and excuse to look at the pieces more closely does it not?

Isn't it just normal chess? I don't see what's so special about it. I personally don't like chess so I wouldn't want to play it, since it's just ordinary chess with different looking pieces.

True. I am sure that it is a type of chess, because I remember seeing some moves that Eraqus and Xehanort made that were not like any I have seen in regular chess.

Now I can't stop imagine Sora playing with Xehanort and the pieces are actually Riku, Kairi, etc.

 

I suck at chess but i would love to play it.

I think it'd be pretty damn cool if we'd have that chessboard as a minigame, to take a break from the main story, ya know?  Even though I know nothing of chess, I'd still try out the chess game in KHIII!  I'd learn how to get the hang of it, and I'd become a master at it!

Hell yeah. I know how to play chess but I suck at it. Even if I didn't know how to play I'd still get this sick chessboard. I'm waiting do someone to make it so I can buy it.

I can just imagine The Noble Collection version of this. "Kingdom Hearts III Light and Dark Chess Set. $500"

Seems cool, though I would probably mess up the KH story every single time I play.
