Sora96 17,256 Posted January 5, 2016 In exciting news, Michael Bay has confirmed he is directing Transformers 5, it will be his final one as director. And don't think of this like a 'Hideo Kojima' situation, he went on to say he has to give the reigns to someone else. It would appear he'll be executive producer for all future Transformers movies. 2 WakelessDream and The Transcendent Key reacted to this
The Transcendent Key 12,109 Posted January 5, 2016 (edited) Nice! I'm a huge fan of the Transformers film franchise, and when I found out that Paramount wanted to make a Transformers Cinematic Universe, you can bet I was excited when that news came around! So then, it seems Mr. Bay shall direct Transformers 5! This dude has seriously hauled in some cash with the last 4 Transformers films! I can't wait to see Transformers 5! The story shall supposedly go two ways: with Optimus Prime in space, and with the rest of the Autobots on Earth with the humans! I'm really hoping we get to see Unicron sometime soon... Thanks for the news, Sora! Edited January 5, 2016 by The Transcendent Key
Enix 995 Posted January 5, 2016 (edited) Why are people liking this? The movies that Michael Bay always make are always shitty with explosions. Just look at the TMNT movie. He simply ruined it. Movies798 1,360 Posted January 5, 2016 (edited) I love Michael Bay, but seriously is this fool freaking serious? Michael Bay said that he's done with Transformers after finishing Transformers: Dark of the Moon. Then he gone back on his word and he'll be directing Transformers 4. THEN Michael Bay once again said he's done with Transformers after making Transformers: Age of Extinction. I'm sorry Michael but you seriously need to stop lying okay, stop lying and stop going back on your word and just admit you want to continue the Transformers movie series because you like it. Of course the other reason why he's returning is because he's doing it for the money. -_-' But at least Transformers 5 will have a new screenwriter which that's a plus for me. Ehren Kruger is a terrible writer and he did a terrible job writing the Transformers story and characters on TF: Revenge of the Fallen, Dark of the Moon, and Age of Extinction. Kaweebo 3,617 Posted January 5, 2016 Well hey in his defence they keep asking him to return. I know, it's hilarious. Everybody complains about Michael Bay and yet his movies continuously make tons of money despite getting critically panned. Of course they're going to ask him to return! There's no point in putting forth effort into making a good film when your audience will see it regardless. Honestly, while I knew they were continuing the Transformers franchise after 4, I thought Michael Bay would've gotten sick of making them by now. I guess not. Well after 3 & 4 he took a break to make another movie.
The Deathdealer 96 Posted January 5, 2016 I'm not expect Transformers 5 to be good at this point if it gets at least a 66 on Rotten Tomatoes I'll go see it because I want a Transformers Franchise that has the same level of Quality as The Marvel Cinematic Universe, at the very least decent/average at the most EXCELLENT. 2 quid is good 2,209 Posted January 5, 2016 Well it's hardly exciting news, it's pretty much a given, even if he *said* he would quit. I gave up watching after the first three, I don't want to see how screwed up the rest will be. Nah imma be sticking to the g1
