February 10, 20169 yr Not gonna lie, looks like a mechanized Diancie. But Pokemon always has a history of introducing next gen Pokemon in the last gen movies, so this isn't really that surprising. Only weird thing is how long it's taking them to get Z version out. I'm thinking they're also working on a patch for XY and ORAS to bring all the games up to speed.
February 10, 20169 yr I'm pretty sure this confirms gen7 for this year. A lot of people deny it, but if they haven't released a Pokémon "Z" until now I don't think they'll do it. There are no more Pokemon to present (Volcanion was the last one), and the anime is probably going to finish this year around October, just for the new one to start (I doubt they're gonna make an arc of filler of 52 episodes). I'm pretty happy that we're finally getting something new, People need to stop asking for a third edition, I don't think it's going to happen. Plus, I think the gen7 is going to be connected to gen6, like Johto and Kanto. Edited February 10, 20169 yr by Moni_22

She does look like a metal Diancie.As for the whole Z thing, I still want it to happen because it's just been tradition. To not have a third game would be so weird.Also, this certainly could mean Gen 7 is gonna be announced this year, as it is common for them to show Pokemon from a later gen in a movie. (Bruisel in the Manaphy movie, Zorua/Zoroark, etc)
February 10, 20169 yr Starters need to be revealed first .starter pokemon are never revealed first (gen vi is the only exception, cause gen 2=ho-oh, gen 3=wynaut, gen 4=lucario/munchlax/mime jr and gen v=zorua/zoroark; as you see no starter pokemon anywhere)

February 10, 20169 yr My theory is than Gen 6.5/Gen 7 will be East Kalos. It would be both Z and a new region. It would expand West Kalos's lore and things about Gen 6. They can do a duo region like in Gen 2. In all honestly I rather have Gen 7 or at least East Kalos since West Kalos/current Kalos bores me.

I mean just from looking at it it's clearly a Legendary and those aren't typically the first Pokemon revealed for a new Gen. The numbers of pokemon types will reach a stage where a classification based on kingdom, genus, species...etc will become necessary. University professors in the future will have debates whether to class Plusle and Minun along with Emolga and Pikachu and blood will be shed.

But if I read correctly, Ash only need one more badge, after that he's going to go to the League, which I assumed is going to happen in Summer. Then what? What are they going to do after that?
