When will people realize that companies like Nintendo will not listen to petitions. this thing got over a thousand people who signed it.

Most people don't like the gameplay for sticker star right now. They are the people who want a paper mario game that has gameplay similar to the first two titles.  That's why people are signing the petition.

It's pretty much that except that there are more people that don't like how the gameplay is so far with Color splash 

Instead of them doing this, why not give the game a chance? It looks like a great game... this is just ridiculous.

That. Plus I mean sure the longtime Mario players might not like this particular series of Mario games, but i'm sure kids at least like them. Which is pretty much the target audience for Nintendo in general anyways.

That petition is simply pathetic. People should give the game a try before they come to such an irrational conclusion.

Just wait, next thing you know they'll tease the name of the next Sonic game and over half the fanbase will make a petition for canceling that too.

No need for a petition,like Alphaomegasin says,vote with your wallet.If you don't like a game, don't buy it and when the game sells horribly Nintendo won't make to same mistake again...hopefully.

Yes, Nintendo's main audience is supposed to be younger and less-experienced players. They haven't forgotten old-time fans and pros, but getting more fans is one of the important goals in a gaming company. Build up the fans, then give 'em something like Hyrule Warriors that has loads of content to challenge themselves with. So many hours... Me and my brother still have yet to get all that we can in that game, and we're really good at that game.

 

So, I'd say this petition thing is... irrelevant to me.

This sounds like the petition I once saw for KH3 to come out on Wii U and it coming to the same conclusion: not gonna happen.

I think this is kinda stupid

 

I mean the game isn't even out yet and people are already complaining.... It's not only with Paper Mario but with almost every game. Publishers show a new Trailer with some new mechanics and stuff and people are complaining "oh no, it's not like before, i hate it". 

People these days complain about everything new these days. Of course there is something new, if you want to have it like the old games, then play the old games o.O

Granted I wish SS 2.0 didn't exist, but I'll be sure to laugh once I see them in the bargain bin. 

This is childish on so many levels even more than i am...Fans are sometimes so obessed with the old stuff. Sometimes a bit too hard.>.<They dont want changes.We need to play or atleast see extended footage from the final version of the game first before criticising it. Maybe Nintendo had learned from their old "mistakes" with Sticker Star and give it second try to show that they care. Maybe Color Splash is gonna be better than some older Paper Mario games.

Sometimes a bit too hard.>.<They dont want changes.We need to see and play the game first before criticising it. Maybe Nintendo had learned from their old "mistakes" with Sticker Star and give it second try to show that they care. Maybe Color Splash is gonna be better than some older Paper Mario games. We dont know. We need to wait....

The thing is, you aren't supposed to innovate a gaming series to the point where you change the whole entire genre. That's what most people are upset about. It's not because people don't want any innovation in their games, it's just that nintendo sometimes takes it way too far, to the point where people aren't fans of the series anymore. Just think about how many people would leave the KH series if the kingdom hearts series turned into a puzzle solving game.

Nintendo always struck me as a company where they'd be too stubborn to realise they are in the wrong. If we voted with our wallets and didn't buy Paper Mario they'd probably think nobody wanted a Paper Mario game at all. While effectively stop making games for the franchise rather than just make a game that we want Paper Mario to be. 

I've even heard from some people I know that they will buy Metroid Prime Federation Force just to support the Metroid franchise and not because they want the game

honestly the best people can do is to vote with their wallet and just not buy the game. that way nintendo will see the low sales numbers and think "maybe we did something wrong. maybe there's something we can fix in the next game."

Yeah that's one of the risks unfortunatly,but if Nintendo are smart they'd know exactly why it'll sell poorly and if you thing about it,games like New Super Mario Bros,Twilight Princess,Star Fox Zero,Donkey Kong Country Returns are all games that were made to return to classic because of fans complaining about the previous enteries being too different then what they are used to (Mario Sunshine,Wind Waker,Jungle Beat,Star Fox Adventure),so there's hope, Nintendo can understand what we want from the Paper Mario series.
