May 14, 20169 yr Fantasy is my favorite genre, and most fantasy stories I read take place in a medieval-like world, so I have to go with the Middle Ages.
May 14, 20169 yr FREAKING VICTORIAN IN ANYTHING. I absolutely love the Victorian Times and it was a period of many different things, which makes it so important.
May 15, 20169 yr They all are interesting, but I think the ancient times takes the cake because of Kingdom Hearts.
May 15, 20169 yr They're all interesting. I guess I might prefer post-modern a little bit more because 80's and 90's. X3"
May 15, 20169 yr I love any kind of book set in any kind of time, but the books I find myself most fond of are fantasy books, such as The Lord Of The Rings trilogy, and two Shannara books I've read, so yeah, I'd have to go with the Middle Ages! There's just something about knights and dragons and honorable warriors and political intrigue of those times that really begs for my attention, ya know? I love those kinds of time periods for stories!
May 15, 20169 yr Usually a modern day/futuristic period, I'm really into stories like 1984, The Moon is a Harsh Mistress, Cowboy Bebop while for manga I find myself mostly into Victorian era such as Pandora Hearts, Crimson Shell, Are You Alice etc.
May 15, 20169 yr I tend to go with the post modern era, I personally feel that the Tolkien-esque setting has been done to death.
May 15, 20169 yr Generally postmodern history because it doesn't feel beholden to anything. That aside, I do actually like a good renaissance novel. Interesting settings.
May 15, 20169 yr Everything is awesome! Only if the setting of storry narration and plot tells it right and is understandable.
May 15, 20169 yr The 19th century is a personal favorite of mine, mostly because of the first industrial age. From Napoleon to Queen Victoria, I love it all.
