Update: Oishii has translated the Story section of the website, and this translation can be read at our forums.

Square Enix's official Japanese website for Kingdom Hearts 3D: Dream Drop Distance has been completely launched. The website contains various sections including "Story", "Characters", "World", "Spec", "Special" and of course it's "Top" page. There are also two sections "coming soon". We'll now go into the website in detail for you.

The website plays a new track from Kingdom Hearts 3D: Dream Drop Distance, specifically, a new version of Dearly Beloved. You can hear this below. You can listen to this song in our music section, here.

Under "Characters" and "World" are a large amount of screenshots and renders, a lot of which are new. These can be seen below, in our gallery. There's over 50 screenshots and renders, so we can't embed them all. You'll have to click the link below!

    The new dearly beloved sounds really cool.

    I'm guessing this means that in the game when the drop gauge empty's we change characters. That's pretty cool.

    OH MY GOD OH MY GOD OH MY GOD!!!! THE NEW DEARLY BELOVED IS INCREDIBLE, LIKE, INCREDIBLE!!! NOW I'M EXCITED! REALLY EXCITED!!

     

    And Sora and Riku droping... *o* I'm sure that's a cutscene from after that dialogue with Yen Sid and then Yen Sid sends them to the Realm of Sleep and that's the cutscene of them DROPING TO THE REALM OF SLEEP! I JUST CAN'T WAIT ANY LONGER FOR THIS GAME! I JUST. CAN'T! I NEED IT NOW!

     

    And the website is INCREDIBLE! I really liked the Drop gauge and the Kingdom Key and Way to Dawn icons :)

    Every dream exists together --

    When you drop into a dream,

    Through the dream there exists “a world plunged in sleep”.

     

    ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

     

    In the beginning of the journey, an engulfed world is reborn.

    However, if the rebirth is incomplete, the world will fall into slumber.

    When this happens even the heartless can’t penetrate the gateway to the world.

    Therefore, instead of heartless there is an abundance of something else.

    When a world is plunged into sleep, a different creature exists.

     

    That is a monster who feeds on dreams; Dream Eaters.

     

    Within the Dream Eaters, those who eat dreams, there are Nightmares who plant bad dreams,

    and there are Spirits whose goodness devours the bad dreams. That is what we call these two creatures.

     

    ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

     

    For us, the need has come to prepare to fight this threat.

    As such, Sora and Riku together will be given a test to become Keyblade Masters.

     

    With every keyhole they open, together they will discover a new power,

    and the world will be released from its slumber.

    To restore the balance of light, “7” keyholes must be released,

    and if the worlds can once more exist anew, they will be recognized as Masters.

    Awesome! Most interestingly, "To restore the balance of light, “7” keyholes must be released". Does this mean there are only 7 worlds in the game? Traverse Town, Hunchback, Pinocchio, Musketeers... that leaves only 3 more.

    That's exactly my guess too :)

     

    Considering that almost every KH game had 14 worlds at least, excluding the DS ones, then we're left with 7 more worlds outside of the Mark Of Mastery. ARGH, I'M TIRED OF THINKING, I WANT TO PLAY THE GAME RIGHT NOW D:<
