  1. Why I continue to torture myself by browsing the cesspool that is GameFAQs forums is something I'll never understand...
  2. I'm starting off with Conquest/Nohr. From what I've seen, I like the characters more and the story has a more interesting premise. My brother may or may not get Birthright, so I'll borrow it if he does or buy it myself if he doesn't. I am hoping to just get the special edition with both games on one game cart, but I haven't heard if the US will be getting that or not. The I'll get the third path DLC after I finish the first two.
  3. Sooo... Number 4 is Vexen yeah? I can deal I suppose. At least I'm intelligent. (Also, this is like the first time I've ever been mentioned in a thread like this! )
  4. They changed the stat multiplier for the enemies. In the original release it was something like 4x the stats and in the 3DS it was 3.5x. EDIT: Actually, I'm looking into now because I wanted to be sure, and it seems like the Japanese PS2 version had the 4x stats, while the localized PS2 version had 3.5x, and that change carried over into the 3DS version. So between the localized version of each, no difference in this regard (though either way, Unknown can get pretty ridiculous, especially in early game).
  5. I played KH2 first, but it was a rental and I didn't get very far. In order of completion: 358/2 Days 2 1 CoM Re:Coded DDD BbS So yeah, probably not the best order to do it, but I enjoyed them all nonetheless.
  6. *(so it's completely optional and gives no unique award). @Riki Yeah, I can see where you're coming from with not liking that. Personally, the characters in their underwear thing doesn't bother me since lots of RPGS have it (heck, Skyrim allow the player to strip the clothes off a dead body). Like I already said, though, the face rubbing doesn't appeal to me at all.
  7. @Carolina Shana's analogy to Pokemon amie is pretty spot on. The characters face appears on the bottom screen (I don't know whether its a 2D sprite or a 3D model, but regardless it looks closer to the CGI cutscenes than the in game models or character cut-ins) and you can rub them. Apparently there's some pretty suggestive dialogue that goes along with them, but I'm trying to avoid most info on the game. As far as I know, it only serves as a way to boost support faster (s...
  8. There are some slight difference. The arte shortcuts that would've been on the second analog stick are now on the touch screen, cooking shortcuts are on the touch screen, some slight differences in sidequest timing (or so I've heard, but you won't miss anything using a guide for the PS2 version), and Unknown difficulty is adjusted compared to the original American release... There may be a few other things that they've relegated to the bottom screen, but no major changes. Oh, and of course the entire game is in widescreen now, and they added the 3D effect (its very poor, though, probably the worst I've seen).
  9. I think chances are, for many people like us, fans of the entire series, KH3 is going to be at least "a great game" if not absolutely fantastic. Well, so long as they don't royally screw it up, but I don't see that as very likely. Now, for the people out there who only played Kh1 and Kh2 and have refused to acknowledge all the other "spinoff" games while they wait for the next true KH game... Yeah, I don't think they're going to be happy.
  10. I read about this earlier today. That's pretty cool, I must admit. I'd love it if they start releasing older games on Steam as well. I'd like to try Tales of Destiny and Phantasia. Abyss would be really nice to have on there as well, just for the fact that, I assume, it would be upscaled and the annoying amount of jaggies would be tamed. Though, I'm not sure how likely that is what with the (somewhat) recent 3DS release.
  11. Honestly, I think it looks great. Yeah, the face rubbing thing looks really, really... REALLY stupid, and I certainly could've gone without the bath thing, but everything else looks fine. Aside from what I just mentioned, the fanservice doesn't seem that bad at all. But then, I'm also not someone who played FE at all before Awakening, so I don't speak as a long time fan.
  12. Oh my, that certainly doesn't fit this nightmare abomination... Unless it uses its hilarious battle cry to lull its victims into a false sense of security, then proceeds to devour them! Yes that must be it!
  13. My battle was relegated to a lengthy cut-scene because they decided it was too annoying to fight an airborne opponent (riding my dragon, obviously) with 12 bars of health and AoE flame breath attacks.
  14. *Not actually a new animal, but new to me. I just learned of this wonderful fella today! Meet the Potoo bird! Sweet dreams.
  15. Don't worry, I've finished the game and there's nothing spoilery about what he posted. My favorite art style from the series is probably Abyss. Granted, the graphics themselves haven't aged very well, but I think a modern Tales game with the same art direction behind it would look superb. Aside from that, Vesperia is also great, and it is still the best looking game in the series, in my opinion. Love the colors and just the overall look. Graces would be third. I look the more cartoony look to it, and again those colors. Xilla probably has my least favorite. Not because it's bad, but because its been used in 3 games now (Xillia, Xillia 2, Zesteria), a possibly a fourth (Berseria is looking pretty similar), and honestly its just all starting to look too much like the same thing. The character designs are good, but the rest is just... eh. I'd also appreciate it if the colors got a little more vibrant.
  16. Cars I'm pretty okay with, I can sit through it and not hate it. Cars 2 and Brave, though, I cannot stand. I really can't even chose which one is worse, to be honest. I suppose Cars 2, just because at least Brave has a more interesting premise (i.e., its not a world of talking cars). Brave was just... uggh. I hated Merida, both for personality and design. And since she was the main character, the rest of the movie just fell flat for me. Cars 2, on the other hand, was simply stupid. I also didn't like Wall-E, but my tastes have changed since then, so if I were to watch it again I might have a different opinion. It still wasn't as bad as Cars 2 and Brave, though.
  17. Mostly on my stomach, but also my sides on occasional. Sometimes I do end up on my back too, though that's not very common. Though to be quite honest, I might spend as much time tossing and turning than I do in any one position. X_X
  18. We have a Sega Genesis, and those were the first games I ever played. Sonic the Hedgehog and Golden Axe II were great fun, even if I was horrible at them.
  19. Nohr for me. I'm more inclined towards the family that main character grew up with and loved, and I like the character designs for Nohr better.
  20. I'll let DC know for you.
  21. Ah, I didn't see that, thanks! Hmm, if its on Steam then I suppose there's always the possibility it will get a major discount down the line... Might be worth it depending on the improvements it makes, or if it gets some cool mods or something (note: not really knowledgeable about how mods work, so I don't really know of modding would be possible on this game...).
  22. I've never really had to study all that much (granted, I haven't yet been introduced to the wonders of college), but the only place I've ever been able to get an iota of studying done is at home. Even then, I'm not sure how much I actually gained from it. I do know that study halls during high school were pretty much worthless for studying though. Most of the time I just talked with my friends, though sometimes I did get a homework assignment done. I've never tried a coffee shop, but I also hate the taste and smell of coffee, so it probably wouldn't be the best option for me. The college library, on the other hand, sounds perfect, but then I haven't been able to try yet.
  23. I think I'll still get it on PS3 unless the PC version has significant improvements and the DLC is included. (Don't have a PS4, so definitely wouldn't get that version.) Plus, I've got quite a collection of Tales stuff, and I assume the PC release will be digital only so it wouldn't really be as satisfying, I want that case on my shelf with all the others. I know. It was one of the few series that I never really saw coming to the PC, so I was really surprised to see this. X_X
