  1. Both, it helps to learn a second language and with my (somewhat limited) knowledge of Japanese or any other Asian dialect, I could use it along with some English fan-subtitles, to help me find any subtle differences and comparisons between the official and original translations of the Japanese dialogue of the games.
  2. I think "Tell me why you were chosen." Is the original translation of "Tell me why he picked you" and I think this "new person" is Roxas.
  3. No shots of any Keyblade Armor like in the trailer, could they be working on something, like the capes, specifically for this release?
  4. "He looks just like you." is basically the original Japanese translation of the line. The line in the official English version is slightly changed to "He looks a lot like you." Personally I find the original version of the line to be somewhat more elusive.
  5. In case you remember my scripts for DDD and 358/2 Days, you've already got a screenwriter on the site (And don't worry, I'll have Roxas' infamous "who else will I have ice cream with?" line replaced with something more appropriate like "I love you".)
  6. Let's just wait and see. While on topic, are there any comparisons between the official and original Japanese to English translations of certain contexts in Keyblade requirements?
  7. The idea of Kairi being killed off just proves that (in sex/gender terms) at how the Japanese are a male dominant race or country in even in terms of storytelling or character development in their native land. However the idea of being Riku being killed off might put the whole love triangle between him Sora and Kairi to a close, it's a much better story and will (in both countries) hopefully add some of the maturity we were promised in the official synopsis for KH III.
  8. Try reading the image of Donald with Clarence Nash's voice (in your head/mind).
  9. I guess so, the latest games after KH2 have been lacking a lot of background characters as well as younger models of certain characters (case in point, Terra and Aqua)
  10. You must be joking, this IS the first KH.
  11. In short, he viewed more of life from the eyes of Ventus, Kairi, Xion and Roxas.
  12. I'll bet it sounds more primal and genuine in the Japanese dub.
  13. I can see that, and what about my other statements in my comment?
  14. I agree with you on the Behemoths and Wyverns for the 1000 Heartless Battle.
  15. I think we should all agree. In cases like these, we never do anything without consulting the original Japanese dialogue first. The comparisons between the original and official translations could give us some elements that were not incorporated into the official translation, like the "place where time flows at a different pace" from the original instead of "temporarily flexible" from the official translation of KH 3D. Anyone get me?
  16. I also wonder if they will re insert the deleted Behemoths and Wyverns to the 1000 Heartless battle.
  17. You still need to complete your novel translations you know, because I am intending to use much of your translations for my own film screenplay for KH 358/2 Days here: http://kh13.com/forum/topic/63920-kingdom-hearts-3582-days-script/
  18. No, but I am just thinking fourth dimensionally.
  19. Only Sora's shoes are big, not his feet.
  20. I hope they add the capes for the Keyblade armor in BBS, in this way it will fix the continuity error of Terra's sentiment having a cape in KH2 FM.
  21. Having Kingdom Hearts set in a time when sexism was okay, namely WWII on this subject, that should explain a lot about Kairi's, Minnie's, and Daisy's lack of screen time in certain games. but at least I know the real answer.
  22. A more serious choice of dialog and vocabulary. Basically, being the children's game everyone think's it is, the series needs to expand on it's own vocab and choice of words like for example, the use of the word "hurting" in Re: Coded should instead be "suffering" because it's more mature/adultish and perhaps even sensible. Some cursing might do, like "bastard" or more "damm". Less slang or sarcastic quips from Sora and some other characters. And finally, the use of the original Disney music score recordings in certain Disney worlds individually. Example: For Halloween Town, I would choose the original 1992 backing track for "This is Halloween" instead of the ones heard in the previous KH games. Lastly, Keyblade Armor capes.
  23. But what about my post? The raft could have been destroyed by the Heartless you know. Or maybe like I said, the storm could have been windy and blew it away.
  24. I think Xion's interference with Sora'memories also effected his intelligence and perhaps even Donald and Goofy as well, hence as to why Sora is a bit less smarter than the previous and why Donald and Goofy were surprised at the fact of Yen Sid living in the tower and why they did not mistake Roxas for Ventus in the picture.
