    Well, looks like I finally beat FFXIII, after docking over 200 hours into it across three playthroughs. I'll probably replay FF13-2 now.

    Okay so I got to the final boss of FF13 and what the firetruck. I have like, three Cherub's Crowns equipped on my party leader yet Orphan's still able to get me with his Death move. What the firetruck is this bullshit

    I'm not talking about his second form. I consider all the forms of a certain boss as a whole, so that's probably what misled you.

     

    It's his Progenitorial Wrath move, I might just quit out and max out a couple of the Cherub's Crowns to get a better chance.

    Also I don't know if you know, but Square-Enix games are usually programmed with an algorithm that ends up making luck streaks. With this I mean that if the enemy gets lucky with a Death move, he will probably get a luck streak and kill you every single time. Try to reset the console and it may actually help you

    I put Vanille in my party since Fang wasn't being an effective saboteur (Vanille has a tier-2 maxed improved debuff weapon, so that really helped) and apparently poison works wonders against him.

    After a while when he was at low health, I summoned Shiva and let him have it.
